I run EarlyGuides. It is a one-person site and there is no editorial team behind the name. When a guide here is wrong, it is my fault.

What I actually decide

Which games get covered, and which get dropped. What each guide has to answer before it is worth publishing. Whether a page type makes sense for a particular game at all, which is a question this site got wrong for a long time and now takes seriously.

That last one matters more than it sounds. A guide is only useful if it is about something the game actually has. Ranking "builds" for a game with no builds, or listing gear for a card game, produces a page that reads fine and helps nobody. Pages like that have been deleted from this site rather than rewritten.

What I do not claim

I have not personally finished every game covered here. Nobody running a site this size has, and anyone telling you otherwise is selling something. Where I know a game well, the guide is better, and that difference is visible if you read a few.

Guides are built from patch notes, developer documentation, community consensus and aggregated Steam data, and drafted with AI assistance that I direct and edit. The editorial policy explains that process in detail, including its limits.

Corrections

If something here is wrong, tell me and I will fix it or remove the page. Games change constantly and guides rot; a correction is more useful to me than a polite silence.
