EarlyGuides, operated by BYTEBARGE LLC, publishes free game guides funded by advertising. This page explains what data is collected when you visit, who collects it, and how to opt out. You do not need an account to read anything on this site, and we never ask you for personal information to access a guide.

Advertising

This site displays ads served by Google AdSense. Advertising is how the guides stay free to read.

• Google, as a third party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on this site.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet.
• Third party vendors and ad networks other than Google may also serve ads or measure their performance on this site, and may use their own cookies, web beacons, or similar technologies to do so. We do not control those cookies.

Because this site does not operate accounts and does not hold a customer database, most such requests are best directed to the vendors named above, who are the parties actually holding advertising and analytics data. Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic: which pages are visited, rough geography, and device type. This data is used to decide which guides to write and improve. Google may set cookies to measure usage. You can opt out with browser settings or the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.

• Advertising cookies, set by Google and its ad partners, as described above.
• Analytics cookies, set by Google Analytics, to count visits and measure which pages are useful.
• Consent cookies, which remember the advertising choices you made in the consent message.
• Preference storage, which remembers your light or dark theme setting. This one stays on your device and is not sent anywhere.

You can block or delete any of these in your browser settings. Blocking advertising and analytics cookies does not stop you reading the guides.

Hosting and security

The site is served through Cloudflare, which may process standard request logs such as IP address and user agent for security, caching, and abuse prevention.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

If the advertising or analytics setup changes in a way that affects your data, this page is updated and the date at the top changes with it.
