Death's Door Crafting Guide — Resources, Recipes & Priorities

Death's Door crafting guide covering resource gathering, upgrade priorities, crafting recipes, and efficiency tips.

Death's Door is Acid Nerve's isometric action-adventure where you play as a small crow working as a Reaper — harvesting souls of the dead. When an assigned soul is stolen, you're drawn into a world where three giant creatures have used their souls to cheat death, and you must defeat them to restore the natural order. The combat is tight and demanding, with four melee weapons and four spells that gate exploration in a Zelda-like structure. The art direction and soundtrack create a hauntingly beautiful world. A post-game night mode adds significant extra content and the true ending.

Resource management and crafting determine how quickly your power scales. This guide covers what to prioritize, where to farm, and how to avoid wasting resources on the wrong upgrades.

Upgrade Path

Early Game (Hall of Doors — Estate of the Urn Witch)

  1. Upgrade your starting equipment to functional level
  2. Craft basic defensive gear
  3. Save specialty materials — you'll need them later
  4. Focus on Rogue Daggers once accessible

Mid Game (Ceramic Manor)

  1. Push Rogue Daggers to mid-level upgrades
  2. Start collecting materials for Reaper's Sword
  3. Craft situational consumables for boss fights
  4. Upgrade build-specific gear pieces

Late Game (Inner Furnace — Castle Lockstone)

  1. Max out Reaper's Sword — this is your top priority
  2. Complete your build's core gear set
  3. Craft endgame consumables
  4. Optional: upgrade secondary equipment for variety

Crafting Mistakes to Avoid

  1. Spreading upgrades across multiple equipment — Focus one weapon to max before diversifying.
  2. Hoarding materials — Use them. The game provides enough if you farm efficiently.
  3. Upgrading the wrong gear — Check our builds guide before investing.
  4. Ignoring Ceramic Manor farming — This area has the best resource-to-time ratio in mid-game.
  5. Crafting consumables too early — Save specialty materials for late-game recipes.

Resource Efficiency Tips

  • Plant life seeds at every pot you find — there are enough seeds to max your health if you find them all
  • Farm Ceramic Manor during mid-game for the best return on time
  • Check the walkthrough to know when each resource becomes available
  • Match your farming route to your build — some classes farm faster in certain areas
