Career runs 12 scenarios, opening at Goodwin House and closing at the Bernie Goodwin Memorial Zoo in Upper Bay, New York.

Build Progression Path

  1. Start with Asia: the most forgiving option for learning the game
  2. Transition to Africa once you understand core mechanics and have access to Zookeeper
  3. Keep a North America setup for content that keeps killing you
  4. Try Australia for a fresh experience once you've mastered the basics

Follow our walkthrough for the optimal progression path through each area.

Gearing Tips

  • Invest in your primary equipment first, since it gives the biggest power spike. See our weapons guide for rankings.
  • Research enrichment tiers before you buy expensive animals. A species sitting in a habitat with tier one enrichment will never reach acceptable welfare, and welfare drives everything from breeding to Conservation Credits.
  • Draw keeper work zones tightly around two or three neighbouring habitats. A keeper assigned across the whole zoo spends most of the day walking rather than feeding.
  • Don't spread upgrade resources across multiple builds until endgame
