Q: Is Cauldron an idle game or an RPG?

Both, deliberately. The core is a turn-based RPG with more than 20 heroes and their own skill trees, and the incremental layer sits underneath it: five minigames, exponentially scaling upgrade trees, an unlockable autobattler, an upgradable collection box and a dedicated Idle mode.

Q: What are the game modes?

Standard is the base playthrough. Idle enables autoplay and autobattle for unattended progress. Pacifist removes combat entirely and has you bribe your way past encounters. Double Trouble doubles enemy waves with random hero spawns. EVIL is the hardest, with the largest wave counts.

Q: What are the five minigames?

Apple Picking, Fishing, Rock Digging, Cart for Crystals and Ice Collecting. Each produces its own resource and has its own upgrade tree, and the trees change how the minigames play rather than only raising yields. Apple Picking eventually becomes a shooting variant.

Q: Should I use the autobattler?

For clearing squares you have already beaten, yes. For anything that has killed you, turn it off and drop the battle speed. It has configurable behaviour including a healing threshold, and setting that trigger to 80 or 90 percent fixes most autobattler losses on its own.

Q: Is Cauldron on Switch?

Yes. The Steam version launched on 21 May 2025 at 14.99 euro, and the Nintendo Switch version followed on 29 October 2025. The Steam release also carries 100 achievements, trading cards and cloud saves.

Cauldron is an incremental minigame RPG from SleepyDad Games, published by Caketown Interactive and released on Steam on 21 May 2025 for 14.99 euro, with a Nintendo Switch version following on 29 October 2025. You play Nyx, a young witch with a snarky pink ghost named Blinkie, clearing a map covered in Darkness one square at a time.
