Overcooked! 2 drops up to four chefs into one collapsing kitchen across 36 campaign levels spread over six worlds, plus eight unlockable Kevin levels. The Onion King read aloud from the Necro-nomnom-icon and raised an undead bread army called the Unbread, which is why the Onion Kingdom needs feeding again. Every level scores one to three stars on tips earned before the clock stops, not on how many dishes you cooked.
Your choice of weapons defines your damage output and playstyle. This guide ranks every major option, explains what makes each one strong, and tells you which builds they pair best with.
Weapons Rankings
| Weapon | Tier | Best For | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chopping board | S | Prepping lettuce, tomato, fish and meat during the opening lull | Holds the item and keeps working after you switch or walk away, which makes it the one station you can safely leave running. |
| Hob and pot | A | Any recipe with a cook stage, watched by whoever is nearest | Cooks soups, pasta, rice and stews, and starts smoking before it catches fire if you leave it. |
| Frying pan | A | Burgers and fried dishes in kitchens with a shifting floor | Handles burger patties, fish and anything fried, on the same burn timer as the pot. |
| Sink | B | A dedicated washer from the first serve onward | Turns dirty plates back into clean ones while you hold the button, and it is the station that most teams staff too late. |
| Serving hatch | B | One runner who never leaves the pass during rush windows | Takes the finished plate and pays out the tip, with the payout scaling on how long the ticket waited. |
S-Tier: Chopping board
Holds the item and keeps working after you switch or walk away, which makes it the one station you can safely leave running. Chopping is the most parallel task in the game.

A-Tier: Hob and pot

Weapons Progression Path
The order you should acquire weapons as you progress:
- Starting gear → Enough to clear World 1
- Hob and pot → Your first real upgrade, available early
- Frying pan → Mid-game upgrade with good scaling
- Chopping board → Best-in-slot, aim for this by late game
- Upgrade to max → The power spike from max upgrades is enormous
Weapons Tips
- Always upgrade your primary weapon before diversifying. One strong option beats three mediocre ones.
- Match your weapons to your build's stat priorities for maximum scaling.
- Play any new level once with no intention of scoring. Learn where the hobs, sink and hatch sit, then restart and cook against the clock with a plan instead of discovering the layout at ticket three.
- Check our tier list for how weapons rankings affect overall build effectiveness.
