Spirit City: Lofi Sessions is a focus tool with a game layer on top, not a game with a focus mode bolted on. Mooncube Games released it on 8 April 2024, and the working day it is built for runs on four features: a Pomodoro timer, a to-do list, a habit tracker and a journal, all playing over a curated lofi catalogue. The collecting hook sits above that, with 26 base game Spirits appearing once you match the right combination of activity, sound, time of day and spot in your room.

Spirit City: Lofi Sessions features distinct areas with increasing difficulty. This guide covers every major location in progression order: what to do, what to get, and when to move on. For the step-by-step path, see our walkthrough.

Desk: Starting Area

The default working spot in the bedroom and the one tied to typing and study activities. Most people spend the majority of their sessions here, which is why several Spirits are gated behind moving somewhere else.

What to Do Here

  • Learn the basics of Spirit luring. This is where you practice without heavy punishment.
  • Collect starting resources and your first equipment upgrade.
  • Clear all main content before moving to Bay Window.
  • If you're struggling, read our beginner's guide.

Bay Window: Early Game

The reading and daydreaming corner of the bedroom, with the strongest lighting difference between daytime and evening. Useful when a Spirit hint mentions a view rather than a task.

What to Do Here

  • Focus on mastering Spiritdex and Spiritographer level. It's critical from this point on.
  • Farm for To-do list if you don't have it yet.
  • Complete all objectives for maximum rewards.
  • Prepare for the difficulty spike in Fireplace.

Fireplace: Mid Game

Pairs naturally with the crackling fire soundscape and evening lighting. A short list of Spirits will only appear in this combination, so it is worth a deliberate rotation rather than waiting on luck.

Bed: Late Game

The rest spot, used for sleeping and relaxing activities rather than working. It is where wind-down sessions and journal entries tend to happen, and where the night lighting Spirits appear.

What to Do Here

  • Full build optimization is expected by this point.
  • Pomodoro timer should be your primary, fully upgraded.
  • Stream-safe music catalogue mastery starts mattering here.
  • Farm resources for the push into Enchanted Garden.

Enchanted Garden: Endgame

A paid DLC scene reached by clicking the location marker at the bottom left and choosing Garden. It adds 13 Spirits of its own. The Cozy Kitchen and All Aboard train scenes are separate DLC, and with everything installed the collection reaches 62 Spirits.

What to Do Here

  • This is endgame. Best-in-slot gear and a perfected build are mandatory.
  • See our boss guide for endgame fight strategies.
  • The reward loop: clear content → upgrade → push harder content.
  • Experiment with Ambient co-worker for variety once you've mastered the meta.

Exploration Tips

  1. Clear areas in order: Desk → Bay Window → Fireplace → Bed → Enchanted Garden. Skipping areas means missing resources you'll need later.
  2. Check every corner: Hidden caches and secrets are often in non-obvious locations.
  3. Match your equipment: Some areas favor different equipment types.
  4. Read the walkthrough: Our walkthrough provides exact progression milestones for each area.
  5. Don't rush: Clearing an area fully gives more resources than speedrunning two areas.
