Computer Lunch's incremental game starts you clicking a single cell and ends somewhere past the technological singularity, covering roughly 4.5 billion years on the way. Three separate simulations run side by side: the Primary Simulation, the dinosaur-focused Mesozoic Valley, and the astronomy-focused Beyond, each with its own currency and its own reset. The Reality Reboot rework in November 2025 moved the first prestige far earlier, which means older walkthroughs get the pacing badly wrong.
These tips go beyond the basics. They're the strategies experienced players use to play more efficiently, the hidden mechanics most people miss, and the optimizations that compound over a full playthrough. If you're just starting, check our beginner's guide first.
Essential Tips
1. Stop clicking the moment a generator outproduces your finger
Stop clicking the moment a generator outproduces your finger. The first hour rewards taps. Every hour after that rewards buying the next node instead, because the whole game is built around passive output.
2. Prestige as soon as progress stalls
Prestige as soon as progress stalls. Metabits come from Entropy and Ideas production together, and a run parked on the same milestone for twenty minutes is producing nothing you could not reach faster after a reset.
3. Since the November 2025 Reality Reboot, your first prestige unlocks at Ideas rather than at the Singularity
Since the November 2025 Reality Reboot, your first prestige unlocks at Ideas rather than at the Singularity. Older guides tell you to push all the way to the Singularity first, which now wastes hours of a first run.
4. Spend Metabits on production multipliers before anything cosmetic or convenient
Spend Metabits on production multipliers before anything cosmetic or convenient. Multipliers compound across every reset, and Reality Engine upgrades are the only progress that never gets wiped.
5. Feed Mesozoic Valley in the background
Feed Mesozoic Valley in the background. Mutagen carries across asteroid resets and across Primary Simulation prestiges, so every point of it you bank is permanently yours in a game where almost nothing else is.
6. Drop the asteroid when Mesozoic missions stop completing
Drop the asteroid when Mesozoic missions stop completing. Extinction resets the dinosaur tree but keeps your traits and Mutagen, which makes the reset pure upside once you have run out of things to buy.
7. Do not skip the Beyond because it feels bolted on
Do not skip the Beyond because it feels bolted on. Its missions pay Darwinium, and Darwinium spent on permanent boosts helps the Primary Simulation you actually care about.
8. Collect daily rewards and chase achievements for Darwinium
Collect daily rewards and chase achievements for Darwinium. The premium currency is obtainable without spending money through daily logins, achievements and mission completions in both expansions.
9. Push to Research Level 56 to open the Amphibians chapter
Push to Research Level 56 to open the Amphibians chapter. The Reality Reboot gated new branches of life behind research level rather than raw Entropy, which turned research into its own progress track.
10. Read the entries
Read the entries. Every unlocked species and celestial body carries a real science write-up, and the Mesozoic trait cards work the same way. If you are playing this alongside a child, that encyclopedia is the actual reason to pick it over any other incremental.
Advanced Strategies
Build Optimization
The difference between an average build and an optimized one is massive. See our builds guide for full breakdowns.
For Microbes and early cells (A-Tier):
- Focus on Entropy generation combinations for maximum output.
- Core gear: Entropy
- Stat priority: Offensive stats first
For Fish and amphibians (A-Tier):
- Versatile approach that handles any situation.
- Core gear: Ideas
- Stat priority: Balanced stats
Mechanic Interactions
Understanding how Cell to Singularity - Evolution Never Ends's systems interact is where the real optimization lives. Our combat guide covers this in detail.
Entropy generation + Ideas and the tech tree: Entropy is the base currency of the Primary Simulation, earned by tapping anywhere on screen and then automated by generator nodes you buy on the evolution tree. Combined with Ideas and the tech tree, ideas unlock once the tree reaches intelligence, and they buy the civilization side of the game: agriculture, industrialization, information technology and everything after.
Metabits prestige + Mesozoic Valley mutations: Metabits are produced by your Entropy and Ideas output together, then spent in the Reality Engine on permanent multipliers. When paired with Mesozoic Valley mutations, the dinosaur simulation runs its own currency and its own reset.
Stardust in the Beyond scaling: The astronomy simulation runs on Stardust, collected by tapping and generated by celestial bodies you have already unlocked. It opens with the Solar System and works outward, with Mars arriving as the fifth celestial body at Rank 1.
Equipment Efficiency
| Equipment | Best Use Case | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Entropy | Buying life generators and unlocking new species | The Primary Simulation's base currency, earned by tapping and then by generator nodes. |
| Ideas | The technology tree from agriculture through information technology | Unlocked once the tree reaches intelligence, then spent across the civilization and technology upgrades. |
| Metabits | Permanent multipliers that make each run faster than the last | The prestige currency, spent in the Reality Engine on permanent multipliers that carry through every reset. |
| Stardust | Buying planets, moons and stars out past the Solar System | The Beyond's currency, collected by tapping and generated by celestial bodies you already own. |
| Darwinium | Permanent upgrades rather than temporary time skips | The premium currency, available through purchases but also through achievements, daily rewards, Mesozoic Valley missions and Beyond missions. |
Location Efficiency
Primary Simulation (From your first click to well past the Singularity): The main tree, running from organic compounds through single cells, fish, reptiles, mammals and primates into human civilization and technology. It is the only simulation that generates Metabits, which makes it where a run's real progress lives.
Mesozoic Valley (Unlocks after early Primary Simulation progress): The dinosaur simulation, tracking archosaurs through the Cretaceous-Paleogene extinction and on into modern birds. It carries its own currency, its own trait cards and its own reset in the form of an asteroid impact.
The Beyond (Unlocks later than Mesozoic Valley, runs in parallel): The astronomy simulation, opening with the Solar System and expanding into the wider universe across released episodes. Progress here is counted in celestial bodies unlocked rather than species evolved.
The Reality Engine (Available from your first prestige onward): The prestige screen where Metabits buy permanent multipliers. Every reset routes through it, and picking which multiplier to buy first is the single most consequential decision the game asks you to make.
Mars (Beyond Rank 1): The fifth celestial body and fourth terrestrial planet in the Beyond, unlocked at Rank 1. It generates Stardust like every other body and links into the game's Mars survival and terraforming content.
Mistakes Even Veterans Make
- Hoarding Entropy for one distant node. Idle games compound, so three cheap generators bought now will out-earn the expensive node you were saving toward long before you could afford it.
- Refusing to prestige because you will lose progress. Entropy and Ideas reset. Metabits, Reality Engine upgrades and Mutagen do not, and a post-prestige run reaches the same point in a fraction of the time.
- Spending Darwinium on temporary speedups. A time skip feels good once and then it is gone. Permanent boosts are the only Darwinium purchase that still matters two prestiges later.
- Treating Mesozoic Valley and the Beyond as optional side content. Both pay Darwinium through missions, Mesozoic Valley pays permanent Mutagen, and skipping them slows down the main tree you were trying to protect.
- Following a pre-2025 walkthrough. The Reality Reboot changed the engine, the prestige timing and the upgrade list, so anything telling you to reach the Singularity before your first reset is describing a different game.

- Since the November 2025 Reality Reboot, your first prestige unlocks at Ideas rather than at the Singularity. Older guides tell you to push all the way to the Singularity first, which now wastes hours of a first run.
- Start with Fish and amphibians, switch to Microbes and early cells when ready
- Invest in Entropy above everything else
- Clear areas in order: Primary Simulation → Mesozoic Valley → The Beyond → The Reality Engine → Mars. See our maps guide
- Entropy generation + Ideas and the tech tree together are stronger than either alone
