F1 Manager 2024 is Frontier Developments' third official Formula 1 management game, released on 23 July 2024 with the full 2024 grid of ten teams and a 24 round calendar. The headline addition is Create A Team, the first time the series lets you build an eleventh outfit from scratch with your own livery, logo, race suits, staff and sponsor deals. Mechanical Failures also arrived, so pushing a car hard for a whole stint now carries a real chance of losing it, and temperature management moved from a background number to something you watch. Underneath that sit the systems the series is actually built on: twelve car performance attributes fed by six part types, ten driver attributes, a five slider setup you dial in during practice, and a mentality system where unhappy staff design worse parts. Steam reviews are Very Positive at around 81 percent and Metacritic lands on 81, which is roughly where the game deserves to be: strong race day, occasionally shallow between weekends.

Resource management and crafting determine how quickly your power scales. This guide covers what to prioritize, where to farm, and how to avoid wasting resources on the wrong upgrades.

Upgrade Path

Early Game (Bahrain International Circuit to Circuit de Monaco)

  1. Upgrade your starting equipment to functional level
  2. Craft basic defensive gear
  3. Save specialty materials, since you'll need them later
  4. Focus on Rear Wing once accessible

Mid Game (Silverstone Circuit)

  1. Push Rear Wing to mid-level upgrades
  2. Start collecting materials for Front Wing
  3. Craft situational consumables for boss fights
  4. Upgrade build-specific gear pieces

Late Game (Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps to Autodromo Nazionale Monza)

  1. Max out Front Wing. This is your top priority
  2. Complete your build's core gear set
  3. Craft endgame consumables
  4. Optional: upgrade secondary equipment for variety

Crafting Mistakes to Avoid

  1. Spreading upgrades across multiple equipment: Focus one weapon to max before diversifying.
  2. Hoarding materials: Use them. The game provides enough if you farm efficiently.
  3. Upgrading the wrong gear: Check our builds guide before investing.
  4. Ignoring Silverstone Circuit farming: This area has the best resource-to-time ratio in mid-game.
  5. Crafting consumables too early: Save specialty materials for late-game recipes.

Resource Efficiency Tips

  • Reaching 100 percent setup knowledge before qualifying is usually worth more lap time than a single part upgrade, so spend practice running the programmes that fill your knowledge rather than chasing headline lap times.
  • Farm Silverstone Circuit during mid-game for the best return on time
  • Check the walkthrough to know when each resource becomes available
  • Match your farming route to your build. Some classes farm faster in certain areas
