Tier definitions: S = best in class, always a strong pick. A = strong and competitive, minor weaknesses. B = solid but clearly outperformed in most situations. C = viable only for players who enjoy the playstyle.

Equipment Analysis
Exsanguinous: A unique body armor that converts missing health to Ward (temporary shield). Core item for Low Life builds that stack Ward for massive effective HP. Combined with Last Steps of the Living boots for more ward generation. Build-defining unique.
Ravenous Void: Unique gloves that pull in nearby items and enemies. The pull effect groups enemies for AoE skills. Also auto-loots nearby items, improving quality of life. Useful for many builds but especially AoE-focused ones.
Twisted Heart of Uhkeiros: A unique amulet that converts all health leech to Ward. Enables hybrid builds that sustain through Ward generation. Very strong when combined with high leech rate and Exsanguinous.
Bastion of Honour: A unique shield granting block effectiveness and massive armor. The best defensive shield in the game. Enables facetanking builds for Forge Guard and Paladin. Block + armor creates extreme physical damage reduction.
Omnis: A unique amulet that provides bonus to all attributes and grants damage per attribute point. Scales incredibly well for builds that stack multiple attributes. One of the highest DPS amulets for multi-attribute builds.
Meta Analysis
The current meta in Last Epoch centers on skill specialization and idol system. Builds that leverage both systems outperform those that focus on only one.
What's strong right now:
- Sentinel with Exsanguinous is the benchmark. Everything else is measured against it.
- time travel story builds are gaining ground as players find new synergies.
- Primalist remains essential for learning hard content.
What's underrated:
- Mage is consistently overlooked despite being the most flexible option.
- Twisted Heart of Uhkeiros offers excellent performance for its investment level.
What's overhyped:
- Pure Acolyte builds. High ceiling but the consistency isn't there for most players.
