Lava's Legends of IdleOn keeps up to ten characters on one account and farms with every one of them at the same time, online or offline. Seven worlds run from Blunder Hills through Yum-Yum Desert, Frostbite Tundra, Hyperion Nebula, Smolderin' Plateau and Spirited Valley to Shimmerfin Deep, each gated behind a world boss. Nearly everything you earn is account wide, so the character you never log into still pays into the whole roster.
These tips go beyond the basics. They're the strategies experienced players use to play more efficiently, the hidden mechanics most people miss, and the optimizations that compound over a full playthrough. If you're just starting, check our beginner's guide first.
Essential Tips
1. Fill every character slot as soon as the game offers one, even if the new character is level 1
Fill every character slot as soon as the game offers one, even if the new character is level 1. An idle level 1 still generates AFK gains, still contributes to the Guild bonus and still counts toward account wide totals, so an empty slot is pure lost income.
2. Decide which Elite class you want on each character before you take the World 2 subclass, because Divine Knight only comes from Squire and Siege Breaker only comes from Bowman
Decide which Elite class you want on each character before you take the World 2 subclass, because Divine Knight only comes from Squire and Siege Breaker only comes from Bowman. Rerolling later means repeating the whole class quest chain.
3. Alchemy bubbles are the highest value thing you can spend green stacks on for most of the mid game
Alchemy bubbles are the highest value thing you can spend green stacks on for most of the mid game. Bubbles in the Power and Quicc cauldrons compound with everything else on the account, unlike a single character's gear upgrade.
4. Keep one character permanently parked on Worship charge in World 3, because charge accumulates offline and caps out
Keep one character permanently parked on Worship charge in World 3, because charge accumulates offline and caps out. A full charge tank turns into totem points that buy prayers and Chaotic boss unlocks.
5. Card sets matter as much as individual cards
Card sets matter as much as individual cards. Completing a set gives a bonus multiplier on top of the eight slotted cards, so it is usually better to complete one set than to slot eight unrelated strong cards.
6. Time Candy is the only way to catch up when a new world drops, and it does not expire
Time Candy is the only way to catch up when a new world drops, and it does not expire. Sitting on a few hundred hours of candy before an update lets you skip the worst part of the grind on release day.
7. The Post Office in World 2 gives box upgrades that scale with total orders across the account, not per character
The Post Office in World 2 gives box upgrades that scale with total orders across the account, not per character. Spreading orders across ten characters gets you to the useful box levels far faster than pushing one.
8. Obols are easy to ignore and they should not be
Obols are easy to ignore and they should not be. Upgrading obol slots and fusing duplicates gives flat stat gains that apply immediately, and the fusion cost is trivial compared to crafting a new armour tier.
9. Multikill from the Death Note is a drop and XP multiplier that only grows if you farm the same mob repeatedly
Multikill from the Death Note is a drop and XP multiplier that only grows if you farm the same mob repeatedly. Bouncing between maps feels productive but resets nothing, so pick a target mob and stay on it for days.
10. Constellations from the World 1 telescope require specific characters to be AFK at specific maps for set times
Constellations from the World 1 telescope require specific characters to be AFK at specific maps for set times. Work through them with skillers who are not doing anything urgent rather than pulling your main off a farm.
Advanced Strategies
Build Optimization
The difference between an average build and an optimized one is massive. See our builds guide for full breakdowns.
For Blood Berserker (A-Tier):
- Focus on Ten character roster combinations for maximum output.
- Core gear: Amarok set
- Stat priority: Offensive stats first
For Divine Knight (A-Tier):
- Versatile approach that handles any situation.
- Core gear: Efaunt set
- Stat priority: Balanced stats
Mechanic Interactions
Understanding how Legends of IdleOn - Idle MMO's systems interact is where the real optimization lives. Our combat guide covers this in detail.
Ten character roster + AFK gains and Time Candy: The account holds up to ten characters and all of them keep farming while the game is closed. Combined with AFK gains and Time Candy, offline time converts into class xp, skill xp and drops that you claim on login.
Class advancement tree + Alchemy cauldrons: You start as a Beginner, pick Warrior, Archer or Mage at level 10, split again in World 2 and take an Elite class in World 4. When paired with Alchemy cauldrons, world 2 opens four cauldrons named power, quicc, high-iq and kazam that brew bubbles giving permanent account bonuses.
Cards and star signs scaling: Every monster drops a card that grants a passive bonus once slotted into an eight card loadout, and star signs from the World 1 telescope stack on top. The card pool is shared across the account, so farming on one character eventually equips all of them.
Equipment Efficiency
| Equipment | Best Use Case | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Amarok set | Getting a first character through World 2 without dying to Yum-Yum Desert mobs | The World 1 boss set, crafted from Amarok drops once you can beat the wolf in the Blunder Hills dungeon fight. |
| Efaunt set | The mid game push through Frostbite Tundra and early Worship | Crafted from the World 2 boss Efaunt, and a large enough upgrade that most players farm the fight several times to kit out multiple characters. |
| Chizoar set | Characters heading into World 4 and the Lab | The World 3 boss set. |
| Void set | Skillers who need stats without repeating boss runs | A crafted metal tier rather than a boss drop, made from Void bars at the anvil. |
| Godshard set | Late account pushes where boss sets have stopped keeping up | One of the late metal tiers, gated behind deep mining and smithing levels rather than combat. |
Location Efficiency
Blunder Hills (Levels 1 to 40): World 1, the starting area, home to the anvil, the forge, the first mining and chopping nodes and the telescope that grants star signs. Amarok guards the exit.
Yum-Yum Desert (Levels 40 to 90): World 2, which unlocks Alchemy and the Post Office, two systems that pay into every character on the account. Efaunt's tomb sits at the far end and the sand mobs are the first real damage check.
Frostbite Tundra (Levels 90 to 150): World 3, where Construction, Worship and Trapping arrive at once. It is the biggest single jump in account wide systems in the whole game.
Hyperion Nebula (Levels 150 to 220): World 4, which adds Cooking, Breeding and the Lab plus the Elite class advancement. The Troll at the end is a genuine wall for undergeared accounts.
Smolderin' Plateau (Levels 220 and above): World 5, home to Sailing, Divinity and Gaming. Progress here depends far more on artifacts and gods than on raw character level.
Mistakes Even Veterans Make
- Making ten combat characters and no dedicated skillers.
- Ignoring alchemy bubbles until World 4.
- Spreading farming across maps instead of building multikill.
- Letting Worship charge sit at maximum for days.
- Rushing world unlocks with underlevelled gear.
Pro Quick Tips
- Fill every character slot as soon as the game offers one, even if the new character is level 1. An idle level 1 still generates AFK gains, still contributes to the Guild bonus and still counts toward account wide totals, so an empty slot is pure lost income.
- Decide which Elite class you want on each character before you take the World 2 subclass, because Divine Knight only comes from Squire and Siege Breaker only comes from Bowman. Rerolling later means repeating the whole class quest chain.
- Alchemy bubbles are the highest value thing you can spend green stacks on for most of the mid game. Bubbles in the Power and Quicc cauldrons compound with everything else on the account, unlike a single character's gear upgrade.
- Start with Divine Knight, switch to Blood Berserker when ready
- Invest in Amarok set above everything else
- Clear areas in order: Blunder Hills → Yum-Yum Desert → Frostbite Tundra → Hyperion Nebula → Smolderin' Plateau. See our maps guide
- Ten character roster + AFK gains and Time Candy together are stronger than either alone
