Lords Mobile: Kingdom Wars reached Steam on 2 June 2019, three years after IGG shipped it on phones, and it runs against the same live servers as the mobile build. It is IGG's own PC client rather than a bundled Android emulator, and a bound account carries progress both directions between Steam, iOS and Android. Download is free, in-app purchases are heavy, and every upgrade past Castle 20 is paced around speed-ups you either farm for weeks or buy.
Picking the right build determines how your experience plays out. These builds are ranked by overall effectiveness, factoring in damage, survivability, gear requirements, and how well they scale into endgame. New to the game? Start with our beginner's guide first.

A-Tier: Tank heroes
Tank heroes is a top-performing option in Lords Mobile.
Core Setup
| Slot | Choice | Why |

| Primary Equipment | Infantry | The durable line that soaks hits and heals cheaply after a fight, which matters because healing costs resources and time you would rather spend elsewhere. |
| Core Gear | Best available for your level | Maximizes build potential |
| Stat Priority | Balanced offensive and defensive stats | Optimal scaling |
| Key Mechanic | Castle upgrades up to level 25 | Castle 25 is the ceiling and it sets your march size at 200,000 troops. |
How to Play Tank heroes
Tank heroes focuses on a balanced approach to content.
Why this build works: Infantry does the damage and Castle upgrades up to level 25 keeps it running, which is why this sits at the top of the list. See our weapons guide for detailed equipment breakdowns.

- Straightforward gearing path
- Works in all content types
Cons:
- Popular pick, resources may be contested

A-Tier: Physical damage heroes

| Core Gear | Best available for your level | Maximizes build potential |
| Stat Priority | Balanced offensive and defensive stats | Optimal scaling |
| Key Mechanic | Troop counter loop across three types | Infantry, Ranged and Cavalry beat each other in a closed loop, while Siege Engines exist only to chew through Walls and Traps. |

Cons:
- Lower peak damage than S-tier

Gearing Tips
- Invest in your primary equipment first, since it gives the biggest power spike. See our weapons guide for rankings.
- Bind your account to an IGG ID or a social login the first time you open the Steam client. Progress lives on the account, not the install, and an unbound guest account on Steam cannot be recovered if you reinstall.
- Never end a session with troops sitting in the Barracks and no shield. Put them in the Shelter or burn a peace shield, because scouts read your Turf and zeroed troops cost more to replace than any shield costs.
- Don't spread upgrade resources across multiple builds until endgame
