Lost Castle 2 is Hunter Studio's 2D beat 'em up roguelite, in Early Access from 24 July 2024 until its 1.0 release in June 2026. A single run pushes from the Black Forest through the Abandoned Village and Crystal Mountain to the Black Castle, pulling from more than 200 weapons and armor pieces and over 130 treasures. Up to four players share a run through online co-op, LAN, or shared and split screen.

Upgrade Path
Early Game (Black Forest to Abandoned Village)
- Upgrade your starting equipment to functional level
- Craft basic defensive gear
- Save specialty materials, since you'll need them later
- Focus on Katana once accessible
Mid Game (Crystal Mountain)
- Push Katana to mid-level upgrades
- Start collecting materials for Dual blades
- Craft situational consumables for boss fights
- Upgrade build-specific gear pieces
Late Game (Black Castle to The camp)
- Max out Dual blades. This is your top priority
- Complete your build's core gear set
- Craft endgame consumables
- Optional: upgrade secondary equipment for variety
Crafting Mistakes to Avoid
- Spreading upgrades across multiple equipment: Focus one weapon to max before diversifying.
- Hoarding materials: Use them. The game provides enough if you farm efficiently.

- Ignoring Crystal Mountain farming: This area has the best resource-to-time ratio in mid-game.
- Crafting consumables too early: Save specialty materials for late-game recipes.
Resource Efficiency Tips
- Soul Stones are inert until the matching weapon's Soul Inscription is unlocked, so socketing them early wastes them. Pick one weapon type, unlock its inscription, then feed it every stone you find.
- Farm Crystal Mountain during mid-game for the best return on time
