World of Tanks Blitz runs 7 versus 7 tank battles with no artillery class at all, which makes it a sharply different game from the PC title it was cut down from. Tanks run from tier I to tier X across Soviet, German, American, British, French, Japanese, Chinese, European and Hybrid trees. Spotting is capped hard: nothing is visible past 445 metres, anything inside 50 metres is spotted automatically, and firing a shot strips your camouflage for five seconds.
Your choice of weapons defines your damage output and playstyle. This guide ranks every major option, explains what makes each one strong, and tells you which builds they pair best with.
Weapons Rankings
| Weapon | Tier | Best For | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| IS-7 | S | City brawls on Himmelsdorf and Middleburg where the fight is corners and short range. | Soviet tier X heavy with a heavily sloped front and a tough turret. |
| Concept 1B | A | Ridge lines and rubble piles where you can hide the hull and fire two shells before anyone answers. | American tier X heavy with a two shell autoloader and a strong hull down turret, widely rated the strongest Blitz tier X pick since the rebalance. |
| Grille 15 | A | Holding a long lane on Dead Rail or Oasis Palms from second line positions. | German tier X tank destroyer built around high penetration and damage per shot, with almost no armour and a limited traverse arc. |
| AMX 50 B | B | Punishing isolated enemies and finishing damaged tanks late in a round. | French tier X heavy autoloader that delivers a full clip in seconds then disappears for a long magazine reload. |
| T-100 LT | B | Wide flanks, rear armour shots on tank destroyers and contesting the base in the final minute. | Soviet tier X light tank, fast and well concealed, but limited by the 445 metre spotting cap that stops Blitz lights from playing pure passive scout. |

Weapons Progression Path
The order you should acquire weapons as you progress:
- Starting gear → Enough to clear Himmelsdorf
- Concept 1B → Your first real upgrade, available early
- Grille 15 → Mid-game upgrade with good scaling
- IS-7 → Best-in-slot, aim for this by late game
- Upgrade to max → The power spike from max upgrades is enormous
Weapons Tips
- Always upgrade your primary weapon before diversifying. One strong option beats three mediocre ones.
- Match your weapons to your build's stat priorities for maximum scaling.
- Angle the hull before you finish aiming. Effective armour rises with the angle, and a heavy that presents 30 degrees of slope bounces shells that would go straight through the same plate held flat.
- Check our tier list for how weapons rankings affect overall build effectiveness.
