Astral Party is a free to play online board party game from STAR ENGINE PROJECT, published by Neverland Entertainment and released on Steam on 28 February 2024. Up to four players roll dice around anime styled boards carrying 15 panel effects, build hands of Battle and Effect cards, and settle encounters in one on one dice duels. The first player to spend coins on three level ups at a start point ends the match, and games commonly run 30 to 60 minutes.

Astral Party features distinct areas with increasing difficulty. This guide covers every major location in progression order: what to do, what to get, and when to move on. For the step-by-step path, see our walkthrough.

Amusement Park: Starting Area

A 69 space board and one of the first maps most players see. The compact loop means start points come round often, which makes coin timing rather than raw distance the deciding factor.

What to Do Here

Sakura Townlet: Early Game

The largest of the early boards at 81 spaces, with Festival Dango appearing randomly across the map carrying assorted effects. Jump panels teleport you to the matching Jump panel on the far side, which turns the board's size into an advantage if you learn the pairs.

What to Do Here

  • Focus on mastering Battle cards and Effect cards. It's critical from this point on.
  • Farm for Laser Beam if you don't have it yet.
  • Complete all objectives for maximum rewards.
  • Prepare for the difficulty spike in Crossroads.

Crossroads: Mid Game

69 spaces built around the Nonstop Train, which arrives on a schedule and punishes anyone not standing in a safe area. It converts an ordinary movement roll into a timing decision every few turns.

Phantom City: Late Game

Distinguished by its Raccoon Thieves, who go after coins rather than health. On a board where three purchases wins, a coin stealing hazard changes the risk calculation on every route.

What to Do Here

  • Full build optimization is expected by this point.
  • Brick should be your primary, fully upgraded.
  • Coins, level ups and monsters mastery starts mattering here.
  • Farm resources for the push into Forest Adventure.

Forest Adventure: Endgame

Built around the Panel Control Mechanism, formally the Gimmick panel, which raises and lowers the centre bridges. Anyone crossing when it triggers is sunk, damaged and warped away.

What to Do Here

  • This is endgame. Best-in-slot gear and a perfected build are mandatory.
  • See our boss guide for endgame fight strategies.
  • The reward loop: clear content → upgrade → push harder content.
  • Experiment with Teru for variety once you've mastered the meta.

Exploration Tips

  1. Clear areas in order: Amusement Park → Sakura Townlet → Crossroads → Phantom City → Forest Adventure. Skipping areas means missing resources you'll need later.
  2. Check every corner: Hidden caches and secrets are often in non-obvious locations.
  3. Match your equipment: Some areas favor different equipment types.
  4. Read the walkthrough: Our walkthrough provides exact progression milestones for each area.
  5. Don't rush: Clearing an area fully gives more resources than speedrunning two areas.
