Tier definitions: S = best in class, always a strong pick. A = strong and competitive, minor weaknesses. B = solid but clearly outperformed in most situations. C = viable only for players who enjoy the playstyle.

Equipment Analysis
Vehicle Scanner: Reads a car's current market value from its condition. It is the only honest number in a negotiation and it should be the first thing you use on every vehicle you consider.
Tow Truck: Two types are available for moving vehicles that will not start. Non runners are where the cheapest stock lives, so a tow truck is the gate on the highest margin build in the game.
Wash Station: Upgrading it to level 2 unlocks polish and wax. Cleaning is worth up to 12 percent of a car's value, which makes this the strongest value upgrade in the early game.
Odometer Tool: Adjusts the mileage reading. Start with the highest digit and move slowly, and stop the moment the tool makes a cracking sound rather than pushing into the red zone.
Camera: Bound to the T key. Shots go straight into the listing and including every angle makes a listing more attractive to buyers, at zero cost.
Meta Analysis
The current meta in Car Dealer Simulator centers on Scanning and market valuation and Buying and selling negotiation. Builds that leverage both systems outperform those that focus on only one. Our combat guide explains these interactions in depth.
What's strong right now:
- Non runner flipper with Vehicle Scanner is the benchmark. Everything else is measured against it.
- Diagnostics and part replacement builds are gaining ground as players find new combinations.
- Red zone pricing dealer remains essential for learning hard content. See the boss guide.
What's underrated:
- Detail and photograph specialist is consistently overlooked despite being the most flexible option.
- Wash Station offers excellent performance for its investment level.
What's overhyped:
- Pure Staffed volume dealership builds. High ceiling but the consistency isn't there for most players.
