Konami turned Pro Evolution Soccer into eFootball, a free download that updates in place rather than shipping a new release every autumn. Dream Team is the centre of it: you sign current players and legends with GP or eFootball Coins, then climb the divisions of the eFootball League. Weekly Live Updates rewrite ratings from real world results, so form on the pitch feeds straight into your squad.
Your choice of equipment defines your damage output and playstyle. This guide ranks every major option, explains what makes each one strong, and tells you which builds they pair best with.
Equipment Rankings
| Equipment | Tier | Best For | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chip Shot Control | S | Goal Poacher and Fox in the Box strikers who arrive behind the last defender. | A shooting skill that improves lofted finishes over an advancing keeper. |
| Through Passing | A | Creative Playmaker and Orchestrator midfielders feeding pace on the break. | A passing skill that sharpens balls played into space behind a defensive line, which is the entire point of the Quick Counter Team Playstyle. |
| Flip Flap | A | Roaming Flank and Prolific Winger cards who take defenders on one against one. | A dribbling skill giving access to the flip flap feint, one of the more reliable ways to beat a committed defender in a tight channel. |
| Man Marking | B | The Destroyer and Defensive Full-back roles tasked with a specific opponent. | A defending skill that makes a defender far harder to shake off once he picks up a runner, which matters most against a Dummy Runner or Hole Player. |
| Super-Sub | B | Bench forwards brought on against tired defenders in the closing stages of a league match. | An other category skill that lifts a player's ability once he is introduced in the second half, effectively giving you a stronger card for the last half hour. |

Equipment Progression Path
The order you should acquire equipment as you progress:
- Starting gear → Enough to clear Dream Team
- Through Passing → Your first real upgrade, available early
- Flip Flap → Mid-game upgrade with good scaling
- Chip Shot Control → Best-in-slot, aim for this by late game
- Upgrade to max → The power spike from max upgrades is enormous
Equipment Tips
- Always upgrade your primary equipment before diversifying. One strong option beats three mediocre ones.
- Match your equipment to your build's stat priorities for maximum scaling.
- Choose your manager before you spend GP on players. The manager sets the formation and the instructions your squad can run, and a set of expensive signings in the wrong shape performs worse than cheaper players in the right one.
- Check our tier list for how equipment rankings affect overall build effectiveness.
