FromSoftware released Nightreign on 30 May 2025 as a three player roguelike built on Elden Ring's combat. Every expedition drops a squad into Limveld for three in-game days, with the layout of camps, churches and forts reshuffled each run. Day three always ends against one of eight Nightlords, and losing wipes the entire loadout you spent the run assembling.

Upgrade Path
Early Game (Roundtable Hold to The Crater)
- Upgrade your starting equipment to functional level
- Craft basic defensive gear
- Save specialty materials, since you'll need them later
- Focus on Moonveil once accessible
Mid Game (The Mountaintop)
- Push Moonveil to mid-level upgrades
- Start collecting materials for Rivers of Blood
- Craft situational consumables for boss fights
- Upgrade build-specific gear pieces
Late Game (Rotted Woods to Noklateo, the Shrouded City)
- Max out Rivers of Blood. This is your top priority
- Complete your build's core gear set
- Craft endgame consumables

Crafting Mistakes to Avoid
- Spreading upgrades across multiple equipment: Focus one weapon to max before diversifying.
- Hoarding materials: Use them. The game provides enough if you farm efficiently.

- Crafting consumables too early: Save specialty materials for late-game recipes.
Resource Efficiency Tips
- Look up your target Nightlord's weakness before you queue. Gladius and Adel take extra damage from poison, Gnoster and Caligo from fire, Maris and Fulghor from lightning, Libra from madness and Heolstor from holy. Picking a matching weapon on the first church visit saves ten minutes of hunting.
- Farm The Mountaintop during mid-game for the best return on time
