Idle Slayer is a one developer project by Pablo Leban that entered Early Access on 27 July 2020 and released on 21 December 2020, and it now carries more than 650 Steam achievements. Your slayer runs left to right on his own, jumps over gaps and kills whatever walks into him, and everything on top of that is a layer of reset. Souls buy the Skill Tree, Ascension turns progress into Slayer Points for the Ascension Tree, Ultra Ascension converts that into Ultra Slayer Points that power Stones of Time, and Astral upgrades survive the resets once you buy Astral Slayer for 500 million SP. Saves move between PC and mobile.
Picking the right build determines how your experience plays out. These builds are ranked by overall effectiveness, factoring in damage, survivability, gear requirements, and how well they scale into endgame. New to the game? Start with our beginner's guide first.

Dark Wizard focuses on a balanced approach to content.
Why this build works: Pair Kishar Greatsword with Souls and the Skill Tree and the build stops depending on a good start, so it holds up across most content. See our weapons guide for detailed equipment breakdowns.

- Straightforward gearing path
- Works in all content types
Cons:
- Lower peak damage than S-tier

Build Progression Path
- Start with Dark Wizard: the most forgiving option for learning the game
- Transition to White Knight once you understand core mechanics and have access to Adranos Blade
- Keep a Stone Golem setup for content that keeps killing you
- Try Slime Monster for a fresh experience once you've mastered the basics
Follow our walkthrough for the optimal progression path through each area.
Gearing Tips
- Invest in your primary equipment first, since it gives the biggest power spike. See our weapons guide for rankings.
- Coins are the currency you see and Souls are the currency that matters. The Souls Flask and Soul Gatherer upgrades are what make enemies drop Souls at all, so buying them late slows the entire game down.
- Soul Reaper is the main multiplier on soul rewards, while the Ascension CpS bonus is the main multiplier on coin rewards. Knowing which one a given upgrade feeds saves a lot of wasted spending.
- Don't spread upgrade resources across multiple builds until endgame
