Idle Slayer is a one developer project by Pablo Leban that entered Early Access on 27 July 2020 and released on 21 December 2020, and it now carries more than 650 Steam achievements. Your slayer runs left to right on his own, jumps over gaps and kills whatever walks into him, and everything on top of that is a layer of reset. Souls buy the Skill Tree, Ascension turns progress into Slayer Points for the Ascension Tree, Ultra Ascension converts that into Ultra Slayer Points that power Stones of Time, and Astral upgrades survive the resets once you buy Astral Slayer for 500 million SP. Saves move between PC and mobile.

Idle Slayer features distinct areas with increasing difficulty. This guide covers every major location in progression order: what to do, what to get, and when to move on. For the step-by-step path, see our walkthrough.

Mystic Valley: Starting Area

One of the early portal destinations and a reliable soul farming spot once the Village is unlocked. Soul gains here sit roughly level with the Factory and Hot Desert at that stage, so the choice between them usually comes down to which quests you are trying to complete.

Hot Desert: Early Game

Another of the mid tier dimensions that becomes comparable to Mystic Valley and the Factory once the Village opens up. Its value comes from the specific enemies and materials it holds rather than from raw throughput.

What to Do Here

  • Focus on mastering Souls and the Skill Tree. It's critical from this point on.
  • Farm for Kishar Greatsword if you don't have it yet.
  • Complete all objectives for maximum rewards.
  • Prepare for the difficulty spike in Factory.

Factory: Mid Game

A dimension you visit, outgrow and then come back to. Once your Armory and enemy unlocks have progressed far enough, the Factory becomes worth revisiting rather than being a stepping stone, and fully evolving its enemies is a long term goal.

Frozen Fields: Late Game

Paired with the Factory as the dimension worth returning to after your unlocks catch up. Once every enemy there is fully evolved it becomes the most rewarding place to farm from that point onward, which is why long term players end up parked here.

Key RewardsThe strongest sustained Soul rate once fully evolved, high tier materials
Recommended BuildWhite Knight
Key EquipmentAdranos Blade

What to Do Here

  • Full build optimization is expected by this point.
  • Adranos Blade should be your primary, fully upgraded.
  • The Armory and Excellent gear mastery starts mattering here.
  • Farm resources for the push into Funky Space.

Funky Space: Endgame

A late unlock and the dimension with the most rewarding enemies in the game, offset by how much health those enemies carry. It is a poor choice before your damage catches up and a strong one afterwards, which makes it a reasonable benchmark for whether your Armory is actually keeping pace.

Recommended BuildWhite Knight
Key EquipmentAdranos Blade

What to Do Here

  • This is endgame. Best-in-slot gear and a perfected build are mandatory.
  • See our boss guide for endgame fight strategies.
  • The reward loop: clear content → upgrade → push harder content.
  • Experiment with Slime Monster for variety once you've mastered the meta.

Exploration Tips

  1. Clear areas in order: Mystic Valley → Hot Desert → Factory → Frozen Fields → Funky Space. Skipping areas means missing resources you'll need later.
  2. Check every corner: Hidden caches and secrets are often in non-obvious locations.
  3. Match your equipment: Some areas favor different equipment types.
  4. Read the walkthrough: Our walkthrough provides exact progression milestones for each area.
  5. Don't rush: Clearing an area fully gives more resources than speedrunning two areas.
