Game River released Mechabellum out of Early Access on 26 September 2024 with Dreamhaven publishing. It is an auto-battler played entirely between rounds: you spend supply on units, place them on a grid, buy tech upgrades and draft reinforcement cards, then watch the battle resolve without touching anything. Around 29 units exist, and almost every one of them is the answer to some other one, so reading your opponent's board matters more than any single strong unit.

Resource management and crafting determine how quickly your power scales. This guide covers what to prioritize, where to farm, and how to avoid wasting resources on the wrong upgrades.

Early Game (1v1 Ranked to 2v2 Team Battle)

  1. Upgrade your starting equipment to functional level

  4. Focus on Fang once accessible

Mid Game (Free For All)

  1. Push Fang to mid-level upgrades
  2. Start collecting materials for Crawler
  3. Craft situational consumables for boss fights
  4. Upgrade build-specific gear pieces

Late Game (Solo Survival to Rift Mode)

  1. Max out Crawler. This is your top priority
  2. Complete your build's core gear set

Crafting Mistakes to Avoid

  1. Spreading upgrades across multiple equipment: Focus one weapon to max before diversifying.
  2. Hoarding materials: Use them. The game provides enough if you farm efficiently.
  3. Upgrading the wrong gear: Check our builds guide before investing.
  4. Ignoring Free For All farming: This area has the best resource-to-time ratio in mid-game.
  5. Crafting consumables too early: Save specialty materials for late-game recipes.

Resource Efficiency Tips

  • Look at the enemy board before you spend a single point of supply. You get to see what they fielded, and almost every unit in the game has a clean answer, so buying blind throws away the mode's central advantage.
  • Farm Free For All during mid-game for the best return on time
  • Check the walkthrough to know when each resource becomes available
  • Match your farming route to your build. Some classes farm faster in certain areas
