Multiverse Loot Hunter is an idle loot RPG that left Early Access on 15 August 2025 with 216 Steam achievements and an 85 percent positive score from its English reviews. You travel a chain of numbered planes that opens with World 1 Three Kingdoms and World 2 Wuxia, recruit historical and legendary figures such as Lu Bu, Hua Tuo and Tokugawa Ieyasu, then park spare heroes in a company or a zoo so they keep earning while the game runs on its own.
This walkthrough takes you from your first session to endgame content. Each phase has specific goals, priorities, and milestones. New to the game? Start with our beginner's guide first.

See our maps guide for detailed area breakdowns.
Phase 1: Getting Started (World 1 Three Kingdoms)
The opening plane, populated by Three Kingdoms figures such as Lu Bu and Hua Tuo, where you learn recruiting and the basic job wheel.
Level/Difficulty: World 1 Key Rewards: First recruits, starter job books, opening gear tier
What to Do in World 1 Three Kingdoms
- Learn Plane hopping worlds. Progression runs through numbered worlds starting at World 1 Three Kingdoms, then World 2 Wuxia, then World 4 Crusades, on past World 9. Spend your first session getting comfortable with this.
- Pick Archer as your starting build. See our builds guide for why.
- Clear Major Battle 1 early and keep running it until the plus one Energy per turn offhand drops, because it changes how often every magic character can act.
- Acquire your first equipment upgrade: Wudang Set or whatever's available.
- Clear all main content before moving on.
Phase 1 Checklist
- Understand Plane hopping worlds fundamentals
- Archer selected and functional
- World 1 Three Kingdoms main content cleared
- Ready for World 2 Wuxia
Phase 2: Early Game (World 2 Wuxia)
The martial arts plane and the source of the Wudang set, the first meaningful cooldown reduction package in the game.
Level/Difficulty: World 2 Key Rewards: Wudang two piece and four piece, mid tier recruits
What to Do in World 2 Wuxia
- Work on Job advancement books. A job book unlocks a class once, after which swapping between unlocked jobs is free. This system becomes critical from here on.
- Farm for Wudang Set if you haven't already. It's the key upgrade for this phase.
- Aim for 20 to 30 percent cooldown reduction from stone equipment and talents before chasing raw attack, since skill uptime is what actually scales damage here.
- Complete all objectives before pushing to World 4 Crusades.
- Consider whether Warrior might suit your playstyle better than Archer.
Phase 2 Checklist
- Job advancement books integrated into gameplay
- Wudang Set acquired
- World 2 Wuxia fully cleared
- Ready for World 4 Crusades
Phase 3: Mid Game (World 4 Crusades)
The Crusades plane, home to Richard the Lionheart and Saladin, and the point where the Hunting Lodge and the beast system open up.
Level/Difficulty: World 4 Key Rewards: Hunting Lodge access, Saint job route, crusader recruits
What to Do in World 4 Crusades
- Master Adjutant companions. Every hero can carry an adjutant, and that adjutant needs its own gear rather than inheriting yours. This unlocks a new layer of gameplay.
- Start working toward Energy Offhand. It's the best equipment and becomes accessible around now.
- Take the Wudang four piece in World 2 for its 18 percent cooldown reduction and swap to the Allied set once World 7 is open.
- This area is the main skill check. If you can clear it, you're ready for late game.
- Start investing in Spirit beast hunting for the tactical depth you'll need going forward.
Phase 3 Checklist
- Adjutant companions mastered
- Energy Offhand acquired or in progress
- World 4 Crusades fully cleared
- Ready for Major Battle Stages
Phase 4: Late Game (Major Battle Stages)
Each world carries its own Major Battle with a fixed gear list, and Major Battle 1 is farmed specifically for the plus one Energy offhand.
Level/Difficulty: World 1 onward Key Rewards: Energy offhand, world specific accessories, set pieces
What to Do in Major Battle Stages
- Finalize your build. You should be running Warrior or Archer with optimized gear.
- Energy Offhand should be your primary. If you don't have it yet, prioritize getting it.
- Do not run three healers at once in the early game, because without deep cooldown reduction you cannot spam their skills often enough to justify the slots.
- Company and zoo income optimization starts here. Small improvements compound into massive advantages.
- Farm this area for the resources needed to push into The Hunting Lodge.
Phase 4 Checklist
- Build fully optimized
- Energy Offhand upgraded to max
- Major Battle Stages fully cleared
- Ready for The Hunting Lodge
Phase 5: Endgame (The Hunting Lodge)
The base building that turns captured spirit beasts into stat bonuses and skill slots, and feeds the zoo you charge admission for.
Level/Difficulty: World 4 onward Key Rewards: Beast skills, additive stats, zoo income
What to Do in The Hunting Lodge
- The Hunting Lodge tests everything. Come prepared with your best build and gear.
- Push to World 4 Crusades to unlock the Hunting Lodge, then prioritise beast skills over beast stat lines while your gear is still low tier.
- The endgame loop: run The Hunting Lodge, optimize gear, push harder content.
- Experiment with Summoner for a fresh take once you've mastered the standard builds.
- This is where Company and zoo income mastery separates good players from great ones. See our tips guide for advanced strategies.
Phase 5 Checklist
- Endgame content on farm
- Best-in-slot gear acquired
- The Hunting Lodge fully cleared
- Ready for challenge content
Common Progression Mistakes
- Ignoring cooldown reduction and stacking attack instead, which leaves you standing around waiting for skills to come back.
- Building a party of three support characters before you have the Energy income to use them all.
- Rushing world progression and never opening the Hunting Lodge in World 4, so your roster runs with no beast bonuses at all.
- Leaving company positions empty or filling them at random instead of matching characters to the Forge, Research and Commerce icons they carry.
- Refining gear at the Foundry before you have a piece worth keeping, which burns currency on items you replace two worlds later.
Key Tips for Smooth Progression
- Clear Major Battle 1 early and keep running it until the plus one Energy per turn offhand drops, because it changes how often every magic character can act.
- Aim for 20 to 30 percent cooldown reduction from stone equipment and talents before chasing raw attack, since skill uptime is what actually scales damage here.
- Take the Wudang four piece in World 2 for its 18 percent cooldown reduction and swap to the Allied set once World 7 is open.
- Do not run three healers at once in the early game, because without deep cooldown reduction you cannot spam their skills often enough to justify the slots.
- Push to World 4 Crusades to unlock the Hunting Lodge, then prioritise beast skills over beast stat lines while your gear is still low tier.
