Multiverse Loot Hunter is an idle loot RPG that left Early Access on 15 August 2025 with 216 Steam achievements and an 85 percent positive score from its English reviews. You travel a chain of numbered planes that opens with World 1 Three Kingdoms and World 2 Wuxia, recruit historical and legendary figures such as Lu Bu, Hua Tuo and Tokugawa Ieyasu, then park spare heroes in a company or a zoo so they keep earning while the game runs on its own.

Your choice of equipment defines your damage output and playstyle. This guide ranks every major option, explains what makes each one strong, and tells you which builds they pair best with.

Equipment Progression Path

The order you should acquire equipment as you progress:

  1. Starting gear → Enough to clear World 1 Three Kingdoms
  2. Wudang Set → Your first real upgrade, available early
  3. Allied Set → Mid-game upgrade with good scaling
  4. Energy Offhand → Best-in-slot, aim for this by late game
  5. Upgrade to max → The power spike from max upgrades is enormous

Equipment Tips

  • Always upgrade your primary equipment before diversifying. One strong option beats three mediocre ones.
  • Match your equipment to your build's stat priorities for maximum scaling.
  • Clear Major Battle 1 early and keep running it until the plus one Energy per turn offhand drops, because it changes how often every magic character can act.
  • Check our tier list for how equipment rankings affect overall build effectiveness.
