Kitka Games put Stumble Guys on Steam on 7 October 2021 and Scopely publishes it now. Thirty two players start each match and successive rounds cut the field to one across an obstacle course library the store puts at more than 60 maps. Steam reviews sit at 82 percent positive over roughly 33,000 ratings, and cross play links the Steam build to the mobile versions.
Stumble Guys features distinct areas with increasing difficulty. This guide covers every major location in progression order: what to do, what to get, and when to move on. For the step-by-step path, see our walkthrough.
Area Progression Order
| Order | Location | Difficulty | Key Rewards | Recommended Build |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Block Dash | Elimination round, often the decider | Direct eliminations, the highest skill ceiling of the survival maps | Slipstream Chaser |
| 2 | Super Slide | Opening race round | Fast qualification, low contact with other players | Slipstream Chaser |
| 3 | Lava Land | Survival round | Rewards patience over speed, punishes crowding | Front Runner |
| 4 | Honey Drop | Survival round | Constant movement practice, easy round for careful players | Front Runner |
| 5 | Tile Fall | Race and elimination round | Free information from other players' mistakes, big time gaps | Front Runner |
Block Dash: Starting Area
Walls of blocks slide toward the platform and you have to jump over them or dive through a gap. Contact pushes you toward the slime, so it doubles as the most contested elimination map in the rotation.

| Difficulty | Elimination round, often the decider |
| Key Rewards | Direct eliminations, the highest skill ceiling of the survival maps |
| Recommended Build | Slipstream Chaser |

What to Do Here
- Learn the basics of 32 player knockout rounds. This is where you practice without heavy punishment.
- Collect starting resources and your first equipment upgrade.
- Clear all main content before moving to Super Slide.
- If you're struggling, read our beginner's guide.
Super Slide: Early Game
A long downhill race where you slide most of the way, dodging bars and whirlpools rather than jumping obstacles. Speed comes from line choice, not from inputs.
| Attribute | Detail |
|---|---|
| Difficulty | Opening race round |
| Key Rewards | Fast qualification, low contact with other players |
| Recommended Build | Slipstream Chaser |
| Key Equipment | Shield |
What to Do Here
- Focus on mastering Four ability loadout. It's critical from this point on.
- Farm for Shield if you don't have it yet.
- Complete all objectives for maximum rewards.
- Prepare for the difficulty spike in Lava Land.
Lava Land: Mid Game
Hexagonal platforms over lava that sink as the round runs, so the safe surface shrinks continuously. Survival is a matter of always having a next platform picked out before your current one drops.
| Attribute | Detail |
|---|---|
| Difficulty | Survival round |
| Key Rewards | Rewards patience over speed, punishes crowding |
| Recommended Build | Front Runner |
| Key Equipment | Shield |
What to Do Here
- This is the main skill check. Bring an optimized build.
- Punch becomes accessible here. Prioritize getting it.
- Master Ability Keys and Ability Tokens for the boss encounters.
- Check our boss guide if you get stuck.
Honey Drop: Late Game
A honeycomb arena where tiles vanish after they are stepped on. Standing still is how people lose, because the tile under you is already on a timer once you touch it.
| Attribute | Detail |
|---|---|
| Difficulty | Survival round |
| Key Rewards | Constant movement practice, easy round for careful players |
| Recommended Build | Front Runner |
| Key Equipment | Punch |
What to Do Here
- Full build optimization is expected by this point.
- Punch should be your primary, fully upgraded.
- Cross play with mobile mastery starts mattering here.
- Farm resources for the push into Tile Fall.
Tile Fall: Endgame
A chasm crossed by a hidden path of real tiles mixed with fakes that drop away and send you back to the start. Watching the player ahead of you fail is worth more than any ability here.
| Attribute | Detail |
|---|---|
| Difficulty | Race and elimination round |
| Key Rewards | Free information from other players' mistakes, big time gaps |
| Recommended Build | Front Runner |
| Key Equipment | Punch |
What to Do Here
- This is endgame. Best-in-slot gear and a perfected build are mandatory.
- See our boss guide for endgame fight strategies.
- The reward loop: clear content → upgrade → push harder content.
- Experiment with Late Qualifier for variety once you've mastered the meta.
Exploration Tips
- Clear areas in order: Block Dash → Super Slide → Lava Land → Honey Drop → Tile Fall. Skipping areas means missing resources you'll need later.
- Check every corner: Hidden caches and secrets are often in non-obvious locations.
- Match your equipment: Some areas favor different equipment types.
- Read the walkthrough: Our walkthrough provides exact progression milestones for each area.
- Don't rush: Clearing an area fully gives more resources than speedrunning two areas.
