The Spell Brigade drops one to four wizards into a survivors-like arena where spells fire on their own and friendly fire stays switched on. Bolt Blaster Games shipped Early Access on 16 September 2024 and the 1.0 build on 29 April 2026, with seven elements and ten dual element pairings. Three finished realms plus a work in progress fourth carry every run.
Your choice of equipment defines your damage output and playstyle. This guide ranks every major option, explains what makes each one strong, and tells you which builds they pair best with.

Equipment Progression Path
The order you should acquire equipment as you progress:
- Starting gear → Enough to clear The Verdant Meadows
- Astral Orbs → Your first real upgrade, available early
- Falling Stars → Mid-game upgrade with good scaling
- Magic Missile → Best-in-slot, aim for this by late game
- Upgrade to max → The power spike from max upgrades is enormous
Equipment Tips
- Always upgrade your primary equipment before diversifying. One strong option beats three mediocre ones.
- Match your equipment to your build's stat priorities for maximum scaling.
- Lightning is rated the strongest element in the 1.0 tier lists because it pierces a line of enemies and adds a Thunder strike on the first hit. If you are unsure what to infuse, take Lightning twice and let the doubled version carry.
- Check our tier list for how equipment rankings affect overall build effectiveness.
