Gearing Tips
- Invest in your primary equipment first, since it gives the biggest power spike. See our weapons guide for rankings.
- Place torches as you dig rather than in a later pass. Unlit tunnels spawn enemies and cost you the map knowledge you just paid for, and backtracking to light a corridor always takes longer than lighting it in passing.
- Pickaxe tier gates the entire game. Whenever progress feels slow, the answer is almost always the next pickaxe rather than better armour or a bigger base.
- Don't spread upgrade resources across multiple builds until endgame
