Targem Games and Gaijin launched Crossout as a free-to-play title on 26 July 2017, and it is still on a seasonal schedule nine years later, with the Dark Awakening season running from 4 June to 2 September 2026 and adding the Eclipse faction. You bolt a vehicle together part by part from a cabin, movement parts, weapons and modules, then take it into 8v8 missions, raids and clan battles where every component you attached can be shot off individually. Parts run through seven rarity steps from Starter up to Relic, and relics need uranium plus Engineers reputation 20 to craft.

Choosing the right role shapes your entire experience. This guide breaks down every option: what they're good at, what they struggle with, and which one matches your playstyle. For optimized builds with full gear sets, see our builds guide.
