This Crossout tier list ranks every major option by overall effectiveness. Rankings factor in damage output, survivability, versatility, gear requirements, and how well each option scales.
Tier definitions: S = best in class, always a strong pick. A = strong and competitive, minor weaknesses. B = solid but clearly outperformed in most situations. C = viable only for players who enjoy the playstyle.

Weapons Rankings
| Weapon | Best With | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Punisher | Mid-range sustained fire once you have uranium to spend | A relic machine gun crafted at the Engineers workbench at reputation 20. |
| AC72 Whirlwind | Mid-range builds that want epic-tier performance without a relic budget | An epic autocannon sitting between the special AC50 Storm and the legendary AC80 Stillwind. |
| Scorpion | Long-range part removal against exposed weapons and generators | A relic coilgun whose shot passes through multiple parts along its path instead of stopping at the first plate it meets. |
| Mandrake | Bombarding fixed positions and capture points from behind cover | A legendary mortar that fires in an arc over terrain onto a targeted area, which makes it the main indirect-fire option in the game. |
| Harvester | Fast flanking builds hunting artillery and snipers | A legendary Lunatics melee weapon, a set of powered saw blades that chew through parts on contact. |

Weapons Analysis
Punisher: A relic machine gun crafted at the Engineers workbench at reputation 20. It hits hard at range for an automatic weapon and pairs well with builds that can hold a firing lane, but relic status means uranium on top of the reputation grind.
AC72 Whirlwind: An epic autocannon sitting between the special AC50 Storm and the legendary AC80 Stillwind. Autocannons reward players who fire in controlled bursts, because sustained fire overheats them and accuracy falls off across a long burst.
Scorpion: A relic coilgun whose shot passes through multiple parts along its path instead of stopping at the first plate it meets. It has a long reload and a visible firing trace, so a Scorpion that stays in one position is a Scorpion that dies.
Mandrake: A legendary mortar that fires in an arc over terrain onto a targeted area, which makes it the main indirect-fire option in the game. It cannot defend itself and needs a spotter or a radar module to be worth its cost.
Harvester: A legendary Lunatics melee weapon, a set of powered saw blades that chew through parts on contact. Damage comes from your own speed and mass, so it belongs on a light, fast frame rather than on anything armoured.
Meta Analysis
The current meta in Crossout centers on Part by part vehicle building and Modular damage and part loss. Builds that leverage both systems outperform those that focus on only one. Our combat guide explains these interactions in depth.
What's strong right now:
- Brawler with Punisher is the benchmark. Everything else is measured against it.
- Power Score matchmaking builds are gaining ground as players find new combinations.
- Melee dog remains essential for learning hard content. See the boss guide.
What's underrated:
- Sniper is consistently overlooked despite being the most flexible option.
- Scorpion offers excellent performance for its investment level.
What's overhyped:
- Pure Mechanical legs builds. High ceiling but the consistency isn't there for most players.
Quick Picks by Situation
