Medieval Dynasty starts you as Racimir, a refugee arriving in the Valley with a bag and no plan, and ends with a village you staffed and a son who inherits it. The Valley map already holds ten settlements, Borowo, Gostovia, Baranica, Branica, Denica, Hornica, Jezerica, Lesnica, Rolnica and Tutki, and you build your own on empty ground between them. Seasons run three days each on default settings, and winter is what kills unprepared players.
Medieval Dynasty features distinct areas with increasing difficulty. This guide covers every major location in progression order: what to do, what to get, and when to move on. For the step-by-step path, see our walkthrough.
Area Progression Order
| Order | Location | Difficulty | Key Rewards | Recommended Build |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Gostovia | Chapter 1, your first hours in the Valley | Opening quests, the first trader, and a reference point for where to build | Hunter |
| 2 | Branica | Any chapter once you have goods to sell | Trade income and side quests that feed Dynasty Reputation | Hunter |
| 3 | Denica | Mid to late game | Tool and clothing sales, plus quest givers for reputation | Lumberjack |
| 4 | Hornica | Mid game, once the Mine is planned | Proximity to stone and ore, plus a trading partner for surplus | Lumberjack |
| 5 | Rolnica | Mid game, alongside the Farm Shed and Barn | Seed and crop trading, and a template for field layout | Lumberjack |
Gostovia: Starting Area
A small prosperous village in the centre of the Valley, immediately across the river from Borowo, and the place the story version of the game drops Racimir. Its name comes from the Slavic root for a hospitable place.

- Check every corner: Hidden caches and secrets are often in non-obvious locations.
- Match your equipment: Some areas favor different equipment types.
- Read the walkthrough: Our walkthrough provides exact progression milestones for each area.
- Don't rush: Clearing an area fully gives more resources than speedrunning two areas.
