Medieval Dynasty starts you as Racimir, a refugee arriving in the Valley with a bag and no plan, and ends with a village you staffed and a son who inherits it. The Valley map already holds ten settlements, Borowo, Gostovia, Baranica, Branica, Denica, Hornica, Jezerica, Lesnica, Rolnica and Tutki, and you build your own on empty ground between them. Seasons run three days each on default settings, and winter is what kills unprepared players.

Your choice of equipment defines your damage output and playstyle. This guide ranks every major option, explains what makes each one strong, and tells you which builds they pair best with.

S-Tier: Stone Axe

The first tool you craft and, at roughly 100 durability against the Iron Axe's 500, still the sensible everyday choice. Lower tiers generally give better durability per unit of resource spent, so the cheap axe is not a downgrade for routine chopping.

Equipment Progression Path

The order you should acquire equipment as you progress:

  1. Starting gear → Enough to clear Gostovia
  2. Iron Pickaxe → Your first real upgrade, available early
  3. Iron Knife → Mid-game upgrade with good scaling
  4. Stone Axe → Best-in-slot, aim for this by late game
  5. Upgrade to max → The power spike from max upgrades is enormous

Equipment Tips

  • Always upgrade your primary equipment before diversifying. One strong option beats three mediocre ones.
  • Match your equipment to your build's stat priorities for maximum scaling.
  • Food Storage and Resource Storage come before any production building. Villagers eat from the Food Storage and draw materials from the Resource Storage, so a Woodshed with nowhere to deposit logs produces nothing usable.
  • Check our tier list for how equipment rankings affect overall build effectiveness.
