Respawn's sequel picks up five years after Fallen Order and hands Cal Kestis five lightsaber stances instead of three, with only two carried at a time. The campaign moves through Coruscant, Koboh, Jedha, the Shattered Moon, Nova Garon and Tanalorr, and Koboh's Rambler's Reach Outpost fills with rescued settlers as you clear Rumors. It reached Steam in April 2023 with a rough PC port that Respawn patched for well over a year.

Boss fights are where STAR WARS Jedi: Survivor tests everything you've learned. This guide covers strategies for bosses across all areas, organized by progression order. For general combat techniques, see our combat guide.

Koboh Bosses

Area difficulty: Easy Recommended level: Chapter 2 onward, revisited constantly Recommended role: Double-Bladed stance with Force Confusion

Strategy

The first bosses teach core combat mechanics. Focus on learning patterns rather than dealing damage. Single, Double-bladed, Dual Wield, Blaster and Crossguard each carry their own skill tree, but Cal only holds two at a time and swaps the pair at a Meditation Point. This is your primary tool here.

Key tips:

  • Don't rush. Learn the attack patterns first.
  • Use Two of five stances equipped at once to create safe windows.
  • Force Confusion is enough to handle everything here.

Jedha Bosses

Area difficulty: Moderate Recommended level: Mid campaign, unlocked after Koboh opens up Recommended role: Double-Bladed stance with Force Confusion

Strategy

Early game bosses test your understanding of Perk slots earned from Essence. Players who skipped learning this mechanic will hit a wall here.

Key tips:

  • Perk slots earned from Essence is critical for these fights.
  • Farm Force Confusion upgrades if you're struggling.
  • Consider switching to Double-Bladed stance if your current setup isn't working.

Coruscant Bosses

Area difficulty: Hard Recommended level: Chapter 1 and one late chapter Recommended role: Single Blade stance with Force Slow

Strategy

Mid-game bosses are the major skill check. They combine multiple mechanics and punish players who rely on a single strategy.

Key tips:

  • You need both Two of five stances equipped at once and One Force meter for every power mastery.
  • Force Slow makes a significant difference. Get it before attempting these.
  • See our combat guide for advanced techniques.

Nova Garon Bosses

Area difficulty: Very Hard Recommended level: Late campaign Recommended role: Single Blade stance with Force Slow

Strategy

Late-game bosses are serious challenges. Build optimization matters as much as mechanical skill.

Key tips:

  • Make sure your build is fully optimized.
  • Force Slow at max upgrade is recommended.
  • Study each boss's attack patterns. Most have 2-3 phases.

Tanalorr Bosses

Area difficulty: Extreme Recommended level: Endgame Recommended role: Single Blade stance with Force Slow

Strategy

Endgame bosses are the ultimate test. They require mastery of all combat systems and an optimized build.

Key tips:

  • Top-tier build with best-in-slot gear is mandatory.
  • Master every mechanic. See our combat guide.
  • These fights reward patience and pattern recognition above all else.

General Boss Tips

  1. Learn before you fight: Spend your first attempt observing attack patterns. Don't try to win on attempt one.
  2. Match your build: Some bosses favor certain builds over others. Don't be afraid to switch.
  3. Upgrade your weapons: A max-upgraded Force Slow trivializes fights that seem impossible with weaker gear.
  4. Use Two of five stances equipped at once: The core combat mechanic is your best defensive tool in every boss fight.
  5. Check the walkthrough: Our walkthrough tells you when you're ready for each boss.
