Respawn's sequel picks up five years after Fallen Order and hands Cal Kestis five lightsaber stances instead of three, with only two carried at a time. The campaign moves through Coruscant, Koboh, Jedha, the Shattered Moon, Nova Garon and Tanalorr, and Koboh's Rambler's Reach Outpost fills with rescued settlers as you clear Rumors. It reached Steam in April 2023 with a rough PC port that Respawn patched for well over a year.
STAR WARS Jedi: Survivor features distinct areas with increasing difficulty. This guide covers every major location in progression order: what to do, what to get, and when to move on. For the step-by-step path, see our walkthrough.
Area Progression Order
| Order | Location | Difficulty | Key Rewards | Recommended Role |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Koboh | Chapter 2 onward, revisited constantly | Perk slots at Derelict Dam, Harvest Ridge and Smuggler's Tunnel, plus Zee's perk shop | Double-Bladed stance |
| 2 | Jedha | Mid campaign, unlocked after Koboh opens up | Perk slots from the Path of Restoration, Path of Persistence and Path of Conviction | Double-Bladed stance |
| 3 | Coruscant | Chapter 1 and one late chapter | Double-Bladed stance and the opening run of skill points | Single Blade stance |
| 4 | Nova Garon | Late campaign | Story progress and the densest elite enemy encounters in the game | Single Blade stance |
| 5 | Tanalorr | Endgame | Final story beats and the last skill points | Single Blade stance |
Koboh: Starting Area
The hub planet, home to Rambler's Reach Outpost, Pyloon's Saloon and the largest open area in the game. Almost every Rumor, most Force Tears and the majority of perk slots sit here.
| Attribute | Detail |
|---|---|
| Difficulty | Chapter 2 onward, revisited constantly |
| Key Rewards | Perk slots at Derelict Dam, Harvest Ridge and Smuggler's Tunnel, plus Zee's perk shop |
| Recommended Role | Double-Bladed stance |
| Key Weapons | Force Confusion |
What to Do Here
- Learn the basics of Two of five stances equipped at once. This is where you practice without heavy punishment.
- Collect starting resources and your first weapons upgrade.
- Clear all main content before moving to Jedha.
- If you're struggling, read our beginner's guide.
Jedha: Early Game
A desert world built around the Anchorite Base and the Arid Flats, and the site of Cere's hidden archive. The three Path puzzles here each hand over a perk slot.
| Attribute | Detail |
|---|---|
| Difficulty | Mid campaign, unlocked after Koboh opens up |
| Key Rewards | Perk slots from the Path of Restoration, Path of Persistence and Path of Conviction |
| Recommended Role | Double-Bladed stance |
| Key Weapons | Force Confusion |
What to Do Here
- Focus on mastering Perk slots earned from Essence. It's critical from this point on.
- Farm for Force Confusion if you don't have it yet.
- Complete all objectives for maximum rewards.
- Prepare for the difficulty spike in Coruscant.
Coruscant: Mid Game
The opening level and a late-game return trip, corridor combat throughout with no open exploration. It is where Double-Bladed stance unlocks inside the first hour.
| Attribute | Detail |
|---|---|
| Difficulty | Chapter 1 and one late chapter |
| Key Rewards | Double-Bladed stance and the opening run of skill points |
| Recommended Role | Single Blade stance |
| Key Weapons | Force Confusion |
What to Do Here
- This is the main skill check. Bring an optimized build.
- Force Slow becomes accessible here. Prioritize getting it.
- Master One Force meter for every power for the boss encounters.
- Check our boss guide if you get stuck.
Nova Garon: Late Game
An Imperial base and the tightest, most linear chapter in the campaign, packed with Purge Troopers and security droids. Bring a stance that breaks guard quickly.
| Attribute | Detail |
|---|---|
| Difficulty | Late campaign |
| Key Rewards | Story progress and the densest elite enemy encounters in the game |
| Recommended Role | Single Blade stance |
| Key Weapons | Force Slow |
What to Do Here
- Full build optimization is expected by this point.
- Force Slow should be your primary, fully upgraded.
- Rumors and the Rambler's Reach hub mastery starts mattering here.
- Farm resources for the push into Tanalorr.
Tanalorr: Endgame
The hidden world the entire story is chasing, reachable only through the Koboh Abyss. It is short, it is the endgame, and there is no free roam once you arrive.
| Attribute | Detail |
|---|---|
| Difficulty | Endgame |
| Key Rewards | Final story beats and the last skill points |
| Recommended Role | Single Blade stance |
| Key Weapons | Force Slow |
What to Do Here
- This is endgame. Best-in-slot gear and a perfected build are mandatory.
- See our boss guide for endgame fight strategies.
- The reward loop: clear content → upgrade → push harder content.
- Experiment with Crossguard stance for variety once you've mastered the meta.
Exploration Tips
- Clear areas in order: Koboh → Jedha → Coruscant → Nova Garon → Tanalorr. Skipping areas means missing resources you'll need later.
- Check every corner: Hidden caches and secrets are often in non-obvious locations.
- Match your weapons: Some areas favor different weapons types.
- Read the walkthrough: Our walkthrough provides exact progression milestones for each area.
- Don't rush: Clearing an area fully gives more resources than speedrunning two areas.
