Supermarket Together is DeadDevsTellNoLies' co-op shop management game, released on 9 August 2024, and it runs up to 16 players inside one store. You order stock, set prices against the market, stack shelves, work the tills and chase shoplifters, with difficulty scaling to how many people are connected. Solo works, but the game is designed around the moment four players realise nobody restocked the dairy fridge.
This walkthrough takes you from your first session to endgame content. Each phase has specific goals, priorities, and milestones. New to the game? Start with our beginner's guide first.

Phase 1: Getting Started (Produce Section)
Fruit and vegetables: low unit price, high turnover, and the shelves that empty first on a busy day. It is the department that teaches you how fast restocking has to be.
Level/Difficulty: Store level 1 onward Key Rewards: Steady footfall, cheap restock cost
What to Do in Produce Section
- Learn Franchise Points board. Levelling the supermarket through checkouts pays out Franchise Points, which you spend on a blackboard of perks. Spend your first session getting comfortable with this.
- Pick Restocker as your starting build. See our builds guide for why.
- Franchise Points come from levelling the store through checkouts rather than from raw profit, so keeping tills moving is the fastest route to perks. A player standing at a register out-earns the same player wandering the aisles.
- Acquire your first equipment upgrade: Double Fridge or whatever's available.
- Clear all main content before moving on.
Phase 1 Checklist
- Understand Franchise Points board fundamentals
- Restocker selected and functional
- Produce Section main content cleared
- Ready for Pharmacy Department
Phase 2: Early Game (Pharmacy Department)
Unlocked later through the Franchise board. Small items with strong margins per shelf section, which makes it excellent value for the floor space it occupies.
Level/Difficulty: Mid game store levels Key Rewards: High margin per shelf section
What to Do in Pharmacy Department
- Work on Ordering and restocking loop. You order boxes on the store computer, they land in the storage room, and somebody has to move that stock onto the shelves before customers walk out. This system becomes critical from here on.
- Farm for Double Fridge if you haven't already. It's the key upgrade for this phase.
- Storage capacity is the hidden bottleneck. Deliveries that will not fit jam the restock loop, so buy Storage Shelves in the back room before spending on extra floor shelves you cannot keep full anyway.
- Complete all objectives before pushing to Electronics Department.
- Consider whether Cashier might suit your playstyle better than Restocker.
Phase 2 Checklist
- Ordering and restocking loop integrated into gameplay
- Double Fridge acquired
- Pharmacy Department fully cleared
- Ready for Electronics Department
Phase 3: Mid Game (Electronics Department)
The big ticket goods. Highest revenue per sale in the store and also the aisle shoplifters head for first, so it wants camera coverage before it wants more stock.
Level/Difficulty: Later store levels Key Rewards: Largest revenue per sale, biggest theft exposure
What to Do in Electronics Department
- Master Product pricing. Each of the 300 plus products has a reference market price and you set yours against it. This unlocks a new layer of gameplay.
- Start working toward Product Shelf. It's the best equipment and becomes accessible around now.
- Pricing above the market reference figure loses customers straight away. Sitting a few percent under it moves far more volume, and volume is what levels the store and pays out Franchise Points.
- This area is the main skill check. If you can clear it, you're ready for late game.
- Start investing in Employee hiring and job roles for the tactical depth you'll need going forward.
Phase 3 Checklist
- Product pricing mastered
- Product Shelf acquired or in progress
- Electronics Department fully cleared
- Ready for Storage Room
Phase 4: Late Game (Storage Room)
Where every delivery lands. Its racking, not your bank balance, is the real limit on how much stock you can keep moving, and upgrades push capacity toward 49,000 items.
Level/Difficulty: All store levels Key Rewards: Capacity toward 49,000 items, faster restock loops
What to Do in Storage Room
- Finalize your build. You should be running Cashier or Restocker with optimized gear.
- Product Shelf should be your primary. If you don't have it yet, prioritize getting it.
- Take the Employee perks on the board early. Each one unlocks a hire, and a single restocker working full time is worth more than any individual speed upgrade you could buy instead.
- Shoplifters and store security optimization starts here. Small improvements compound into massive advantages.
- Farm this area for the resources needed to push into Checkout Area.
Phase 4 Checklist
- Build fully optimized
- Product Shelf upgraded to max
- Storage Room fully cleared
- Ready for Checkout Area
Phase 5: Endgame (Checkout Area)
The till bank, the entrance and, once unlocked, self checkouts. Every scan feeds store levelling, so this small patch of floor generates the Franchise Points that pay for everything else.
Level/Difficulty: All store levels Key Rewards: Franchise Points, income throughput
What to Do in Checkout Area
- Checkout Area tests everything. Come prepared with your best build and gear.
- Agree roles before opening rather than during a rush. The standard four player split is one on tills, one restocking, one on ordering and pricing, and one covering security and cleaning.
- The endgame loop: run Checkout Area, optimize gear, push harder content.
- Experiment with Storage Handler for a fresh take once you've mastered the standard builds.
- This is where Shoplifters and store security mastery separates good players from great ones. See our tips guide for advanced strategies.
Phase 5 Checklist
- Endgame content on farm
- Best-in-slot gear acquired
- Checkout Area fully cleared
- Ready for challenge content
Common Progression Mistakes
- Buying more floor shelves while the back room is already overflowing with unplaced boxes
- Pricing everything well above the market figure and wondering why the store empties out
- Leaving tills unmanned during a rush until queues grow long enough that customers give up
- Hiring staff without first taking the board perks that make those staff faster
- Inviting eight players into a store built for four, then losing money to abandoned baskets
Key Tips for Smooth Progression
