Tuxedo Labs put Teardown into Early Access on 29 October 2020 and shipped version 1.0 on 21 April 2022. Every wall, pipe and vehicle across its 40 mission campaign is built from destructible voxels, and the heists are designed around that fact. You get unlimited time to carve a route through a site, then 60 seconds to grab the loot and reach the escape vehicle once the alarm trips.

Teardown features distinct areas with increasing difficulty. This guide covers every major location in progression order: what to do, what to get, and when to move on. For the step-by-step path, see our walkthrough.

Löckelle Teardown Services: Starting Area

The campaign hub and your own company office. The computer here accepts contracts and sells tool upgrades using the money missions pay out, and the yard outside is a free place to test explosives.

What to Do Here

Lee Chemicals: Early Game

The opening contract, handed over by Gordon Woo, on a small industrial site. It exists to teach the two phase structure before the maps get complicated.

What to Do Here

West Point Marina: Mid Game

A waterfront site spread across two missions, full of boats, jetties and metal hulls. Water blocks the direct line, which is exactly where the plank tool earns its upgrade cost back.

Villa Gordon: Late Game

Gordon Woo's own property, split across two missions, with valuables spread over several floors of a large house. Vertical routing matters more here than raw demolition.

What to Do Here

  • Full build optimization is expected by this point.
  • Sledgehammer should be your primary, fully upgraded.
  • Level editor with Lua scripting mastery starts mattering here.
  • Farm resources for the push into Quilez Security.

Quilez Security: Endgame

A security company compound and one of the tighter late part 1 contracts, with a compact layout and targets shut behind metal rather than an open industrial site.

What to Do Here

  • This is endgame. Best-in-slot gear and a perfected build are mandatory.
  • See our boss guide for endgame fight strategies.
  • The reward loop: clear content → upgrade → push harder content.
  • Experiment with Quiet Cutter for variety once you've mastered the meta.

Exploration Tips

  1. Clear areas in order: Löckelle Teardown Services → Lee Chemicals → West Point Marina → Villa Gordon → Quilez Security. Skipping areas means missing resources you'll need later.
  2. Check every corner: Hidden caches and secrets are often in non-obvious locations.
  3. Match your equipment: Some areas favor different equipment types.
  4. Read the walkthrough: Our walkthrough provides exact progression milestones for each area.
  5. Don't rush: Clearing an area fully gives more resources than speedrunning two areas.
