The Slormancer is Slormite Studios' pixel art action RPG, released in 1.0 on 13 May 2025 after four years in Early Access. Three classes, the Mighty Knight, the Fierce Huntress and the Mischievous Mage, each get around 120 Slorm Reapers, and the shared Ancestral Legacy holds more than 150 elemental skills and passives. Respeccing costs nothing, so the game expects you to rebuild constantly rather than commit to one plan.

Your choice of equipment defines your damage output and playstyle. This guide ranks every major option, explains what makes each one strong, and tells you which builds they pair best with.

S-Tier: Slorm Reapers

Your primary weapon slot and the single biggest build decision, with roughly 120 per class and a distinct effect on each. They level from kills independently of your character, so a fresh reaper is weak until you have farmed with it.

Equipment Progression Path

The order you should acquire equipment as you progress:

  1. Starting gear → Enough to clear Campaign expeditions
  2. Kah-Veer → Your first real upgrade, available early
  3. Arcanic Pledge → Mid-game upgrade with good scaling
  4. Slorm Reapers → Best-in-slot, aim for this by late game
  5. Upgrade to max → The power spike from max upgrades is enormous

Equipment Tips

  • Always upgrade your primary equipment before diversifying. One strong option beats three mediocre ones.
  • Match your equipment to your build's stat priorities for maximum scaling.
  • Swap between all three classes in town before you settle. Characters share the town and you lose nothing by testing the Knight, Huntress and Mage for an hour each rather than reading a tier list.
  • Check our tier list for how equipment rankings affect overall build effectiveness.
