Parallel 45 Games released Tower Dominion on 7 May 2025. It is a roguelike tower defence where you shape the ground as well as the defence: between waves you expand the map with new terrain zones, and the paths you carve decide where the alien waves walk toward your HQ. Three factions, the Iron Dragoons, the Lions of Ravelski and the Pargan Assault Group, field ten commanders each, and the run ends the moment HQ life reaches zero. Difficulty runs Recruit, Veteran, Elite and War, and clearing War unlocks the endless Frontier mode.

Boss fights are where Tower Dominion tests everything you've learned. This guide covers strategies for bosses across all areas, organized by progression order. For general combat techniques, see our combat guide.

Main headquarters Bosses

Area difficulty: Easy Recommended level: Waves 1 to the end of the run Recommended build: Tank Commander Beryt with Durendal cannon

Strategy

The first bosses teach core combat mechanics. Focus on learning patterns rather than dealing damage. A battlefront is one path running from the map edge to an entrance on your HQ, and a single battlefront can feed more than one entrance. This is your primary tool here.

Key tips:

  • Don't rush. Learn the attack patterns first.
  • Use Battlefronts and HQ entry points to create safe windows.
  • Durendal cannon is enough to handle everything here.

Battlefront Bosses

Area difficulty: Moderate Recommended level: Established at run start, extended during every expansion phase Recommended build: Tank Commander Beryt with Durendal cannon

Strategy

Early game bosses test your understanding of The expansion phase and terrain height. Players who skipped learning this mechanic will hit a wall here.

Key tips:

  • The expansion phase and terrain height is critical for these fights.
  • Farm Durendal cannon upgrades if you're struggling.
  • Consider switching to Tank Commander Beryt if your current setup isn't working.

Entry point Bosses

Area difficulty: Hard Recommended level: Waves 1 onward, with enemy tier rising every 10 waves Recommended build: Sergeant Gurtag with Defender m5

Strategy

Mid-game bosses are the major skill check. They combine multiple mechanics and punish players who rely on a single strategy.

Key tips:

  • You need both Battlefronts and HQ entry points and Blueprints drawn three at a time mastery.
  • Defender m5 makes a significant difference. Get it before attempting these.
  • See our combat guide for advanced techniques.

Camp Alpha Bosses

Area difficulty: Very Hard Recommended level: Appears during expansion phases throughout a run Recommended build: Sergeant Gurtag with Defender m5

Strategy

Late-game bosses are serious challenges. Build optimization matters as much as mechanical skill.

Key tips:

  • Make sure your build is fully optimized.
  • Defender m5 at max upgrade is recommended.
  • Study each boss's attack patterns. Most have 2-3 phases.

Classified site Bosses

Area difficulty: Extreme Recommended level: Appears during expansion phases throughout a run Recommended build: Sergeant Gurtag with Defender m5

Strategy

Endgame bosses are the ultimate test. They require mastery of all combat systems and an optimized build.

Key tips:

  • Top-tier build with best-in-slot gear is mandatory.
  • Master every mechanic. See our combat guide.
  • These fights reward patience and pattern recognition above all else.

General Boss Tips

  1. Learn before you fight: Spend your first attempt observing attack patterns. Don't try to win on attempt one.
  2. Match your build: Some bosses favor certain builds over others. Don't be afraid to switch.
  3. Upgrade your equipment: A max-upgraded Defender m5 trivializes fights that seem impossible with weaker gear.
  4. Use Battlefronts and HQ entry points: The core combat mechanic is your best defensive tool in every boss fight.
  5. Check the walkthrough: Our walkthrough tells you when you're ready for each boss.
