KovaaK's is an aim trainer, not a game. There is no campaign, no enemies with behaviour worth learning and no progression outside your own scores. It arrived on Steam on 3 April 2018, was later retitled KovaaK 2.0, sells for around 9.99 US dollars, and carries more than 200,000 community-made scenarios alongside the sandbox, benchmark and workshop tooling.

KovaaK's features distinct areas with increasing difficulty. This guide covers every major location in progression order: what to do, what to get, and when to move on. For the step-by-step path, see our walkthrough.

Voltaic Aim Training Routines: Starting Area

The practice playlists, distinct from the benchmarks that test you. They are published per difficulty tier and tell you which scenarios to run and when to move up, which is the structure the workshop's 200,000 scenarios cannot give you on their own.

Voltaic Novice Benchmarks: Early Game

The entry tier, covering Clicking, Tracking and Target Switching. Ranks here run Iron, Bronze, Silver and Gold, and most players who have never trained deliberately land somewhere in the lower half on their first attempt.

What to Do Here

  • Focus on mastering Playlists and score history. It's critical from this point on.
  • Farm for Tracking scenarios if you don't have it yet.
  • Complete all objectives for maximum rewards.
  • Prepare for the difficulty spike in Voltaic Intermediate Benchmarks.

Voltaic Intermediate Benchmarks: Mid Game

The tier where category weaknesses stop hiding. Ranks are Platinum, Diamond, Jade and Master, and it is normal to sit two ranks lower in one category than the other two.

Voltaic Advanced Benchmarks: Late Game

The top tier, with Grandmaster, Nova, Astra and Celestial as the ranks. Reaching Celestial across all categories is a multi-year project and is far beyond what any competitive shooter actually requires.

What to Do Here

  • Full build optimization is expected by this point.
  • Clicking scenarios should be your primary, fully upgraded.
  • Game profile import mastery starts mattering here.
  • Farm resources for the push into Game-specific benchmarks.

Game-specific benchmarks: Endgame

Dedicated benchmark sets built around individual titles including VALORANT, Apex Legends and Fortnite. They use scenario parameters closer to that game's engagement distances and target sizes than the general benchmarks do.

What to Do Here

  • This is endgame. Best-in-slot gear and a perfected build are mandatory.
  • See our boss guide for endgame fight strategies.
  • The reward loop: clear content → upgrade → push harder content.
  • Experiment with Tracking-first shooter for variety once you've mastered the meta.

Exploration Tips

  1. Clear areas in order: Voltaic Aim Training Routines → Voltaic Novice Benchmarks → Voltaic Intermediate Benchmarks → Voltaic Advanced Benchmarks → Game-specific benchmarks. Skipping areas means missing resources you'll need later.
  2. Check every corner: Hidden caches and secrets are often in non-obvious locations.
  3. Match your weapons: Some areas favor different weapons types.
  4. Read the walkthrough: Our walkthrough provides exact progression milestones for each area.
  5. Don't rush: Clearing an area fully gives more resources than speedrunning two areas.
