Sephiria is a top down action roguelite from TEAM HORAY, the studio behind Dungreed. You play a bunny climbing a demon filled tower to stop Bunnyville being wiped out on the Day of Destiny, and it left Early Access on 31 July 2026 after starting that run on 3 April 2025. A full climb covers six chapters, more than 60 enemy types and over 10 bosses, with six weapons carrying more than 50 upgrades each.
Sephiria features distinct areas with increasing difficulty. This guide covers every major location in progression order: what to do, what to get, and when to move on. For the step-by-step path, see our walkthrough.
Area Progression Order
| Order | Location | Difficulty | Key Rewards | Recommended Build |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Bunnyville | Between every run | Destiny Inscription nodes, costume selection, permanent upgrades | Critical strike build |
| 2 | The tower's six chapters | Chapters 1 to 6, one full climb | Artifacts, Tablets, weapon evolutions, chapter bosses | Critical strike build |
| 3 | The Root node | Once per run | One Miracle plus the randomized items that come with it | Ice element build |
| 4 | The Pocket Dimension | Mid run | Items purchased with Sapphires | Ice element build |
| 5 | Anvil nodes | Available in every chapter | Weapon evolutions along a single upgrade line | Ice element build |
Bunnyville: Starting Area
The hub village you are trying to save, and where every run begins and ends. Costume selection and the Destiny Inscription tree both live here.
| Attribute | Detail |
|---|---|
| Difficulty | Between every run |
| Key Rewards | Destiny Inscription nodes, costume selection, permanent upgrades |
| Recommended Build | Critical strike build |
| Key Equipment | Greatsword |
What to Do Here
- Learn the basics of Artifact and Tablet inventory grid. This is where you practice without heavy punishment.
- Collect starting resources and your first equipment upgrade.
- Clear all main content before moving to The tower's six chapters.
- If you're struggling, read our beginner's guide.
The tower's six chapters: Early Game
Each floor opens in a starting room, offers three nodes to choose between, and finishes in a boss room. Difficulty climbs chapter by chapter, with more than 10 bosses spread across the six.
| Attribute | Detail |
|---|---|
| Difficulty | Chapters 1 to 6, one full climb |
| Key Rewards | Artifacts, Tablets, weapon evolutions, chapter bosses |
| Recommended Build | Critical strike build |
| Key Equipment | Greatsword |
What to Do Here
- Focus on mastering Six weapons with over 50 upgrades each. It's critical from this point on.
- Farm for Greatsword if you don't have it yet.
- Complete all objectives for maximum rewards.
- Prepare for the difficulty spike in The Root node.
The Root node: Mid Game
A unique node that appears once per run and grants one Miracle out of 18. It carries no fights, no shop and no alternative options.
| Attribute | Detail |
|---|---|
| Difficulty | Once per run |
| Key Rewards | One Miracle plus the randomized items that come with it |
| Recommended Build | Ice element build |
| Key Equipment | Greatsword |
What to Do Here
- This is the main skill check. Bring an optimized build.
- Sword and Shield becomes accessible here. Prioritize getting it.
- Master Destiny Inscription meta progression for the boss encounters.
- Check our boss guide if you get stuck.
The Pocket Dimension: Late Game
An in run area where Sapphires work as spendable currency rather than only as meta progression. Buying here trades permanent progress for immediate power.
| Attribute | Detail |
|---|---|
| Difficulty | Mid run |
| Key Rewards | Items purchased with Sapphires |
| Recommended Build | Ice element build |
| Key Equipment | Sword and Shield |
What to Do Here
- Full build optimization is expected by this point.
- Sword and Shield should be your primary, fully upgraded.
- Costumes chosen before each run mastery starts mattering here.
- Farm resources for the push into Anvil nodes.
Anvil nodes: Endgame
Upgrade stations that evolve whichever weapon you are currently carrying. Reaching one with the wrong weapon equipped wastes the node entirely.
| Attribute | Detail |
|---|---|
| Difficulty | Available in every chapter |
| Key Rewards | Weapon evolutions along a single upgrade line |
| Recommended Build | Ice element build |
| Key Equipment | Sword and Shield |
What to Do Here
- This is endgame. Best-in-slot gear and a perfected build are mandatory.
- See our boss guide for endgame fight strategies.
- The reward loop: clear content → upgrade → push harder content.
- Experiment with Physical melee build for variety once you've mastered the meta.
Exploration Tips
- Clear areas in order: Bunnyville → The tower's six chapters → The Root node → The Pocket Dimension → Anvil nodes. Skipping areas means missing resources you'll need later.
- Check every corner: Hidden caches and secrets are often in non-obvious locations.
- Match your equipment: Some areas favor different equipment types.
- Read the walkthrough: Our walkthrough provides exact progression milestones for each area.
- Don't rush: Clearing an area fully gives more resources than speedrunning two areas.
