Project Moon left Early Access with Lobotomy Corporation on 9 April 2018, putting you in charge of a facility that farms energy out of caged Abnormalities. Each of the fifty days sets an Enkephalin quota you meet by ordering agents to perform Instinct, Insight, Attachment or Repression work on things that very much do not want to cooperate. A run of bad work results drives an Abnormality's Qliphoth Counter to zero, it breaches, and a facility that looked stable at 80 percent quota can empty out in ninety seconds.
Your choice of equipment defines your damage output and playstyle. This guide ranks every major option, explains what makes each one strong, and tells you which builds they pair best with.
Equipment Rankings
| Equipment | Tier | Best For | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Penitence | S | Calming panicked staff in the first twenty days | A ZAYIN grade White damage weapon from One Sin and Hundreds of Good Deeds, the Abnormality most facilities contain on day one. |
| Fourth Match Flame | A | Early breach suppression before WAW gear is available | Scorched Girl's TETH grade Red weapon, usually the first real upgrade a run gets. |
| Justitia | A | Mid game breaches and the Day 21 Core Suppressions | Judgement Bird's WAW grade weapon, notable because its attack lands five separate hits rather than one large one. |
| Da Capo | B | Ordeals from Day 36 onward and the Gebura and Binah suppressions | An ALEPH grade weapon from The Silent Orchestra that lands four hits per swing. |
| Twilight | B | The final ten days, including the Kether phase | Apocalypse Bird's ALEPH grade E. |
S-Tier: Penitence
A ZAYIN grade White damage weapon from One Sin and Hundreds of Good Deeds, the Abnormality most facilities contain on day one. Low damage, but White damage is what stops a panicking agent without adding a corpse.

|---|---|
| Tier | S |
| Best For | Calming panicked staff in the first twenty days |
| Key Mechanic | Qliphoth Counter and breaches |
| Recommended Build | Control Team (Malkuth) |
How to get it: Available from mid-game onward. See our walkthrough for the exact progression point.
Best builds using Penitence: Pairs naturally with Control Team (Malkuth) thanks to how their stat scaling lines up.
A-Tier: Fourth Match Flame
Scorched Girl's TETH grade Red weapon, usually the first real upgrade a run gets. The matching suit adds Red and Black resistance, which covers the two damage types the early Ordeals lean on.

|---|---|
| Tier | A |
| Best For | Early breach suppression before WAW gear is available |
| Key Mechanic | Four work types and the Virtues |
| Recommended Build | Information Team (Yesod) |
How to get it: Accessible in the early-to-mid game. Check our maps guide for the location.
Best builds using Fourth Match Flame: Pairs naturally with Information Team (Yesod) thanks to how their stat scaling lines up.
A-Tier: Justitia
Judgement Bird's WAW grade weapon, notable because its attack lands five separate hits rather than one large one. That hit count makes it excellent against targets with plain health pools and poor against anything that punishes each individual strike.

|---|---|
| Tier | A |
| Best For | Mid game breaches and the Day 21 Core Suppressions |
| Key Mechanic | Qliphoth Meltdown timers |
| Recommended Build | Training Team (Hod) |
How to get it: Accessible in the early-to-mid game. Check our maps guide for the location.
Best builds using Justitia: Pairs naturally with Training Team (Hod) thanks to how their stat scaling lines up.
B-Tier: Da Capo
An ALEPH grade weapon from The Silent Orchestra that lands four hits per swing. It arrives late enough that you will already be facing Dusk and Midnight tier Ordeals, which is precisely the workload it was built for.

|---|---|
| Tier | B |
| Best For | Ordeals from Day 36 onward and the Gebura and Binah suppressions |
| Key Mechanic | E.G.O. weapons, suits and gifts |
| Recommended Build | Safety Team (Netzach) |
How to get it: Found in later areas. Our walkthrough covers when you can access this.
Best builds using Da Capo: Pairs naturally with Safety Team (Netzach) thanks to how their stat scaling lines up.
B-Tier: Twilight
Apocalypse Bird's ALEPH grade E.G.O., multi type in damage and paired with a suit resistant to everything. Obtaining it means surviving the fused bird, so treat it as the reward for a facility that is already stable rather than a fix for one that is not.

| Tier | B |
| Best For | The final ten days, including the Kether phase |
| Key Mechanic | Core Suppressions |
| Recommended Build | Disciplinary Team (Gebura) |

Equipment Progression Path
The order you should acquire equipment as you progress:
- Starting gear → Enough to clear Control Team (Asiyah)
- Fourth Match Flame → Your first real upgrade, available early
- Justitia → Mid-game upgrade with good scaling
- Penitence → Best-in-slot, aim for this by late game
- Upgrade to max → The power spike from max upgrades is enormous
Equipment Tips
- Always upgrade your primary equipment before diversifying. One strong option beats three mediocre ones.
- Match your equipment to your build's stat priorities for maximum scaling.
- Observation notes are the difficulty setting. Every Abnormality lists which work types it favours and what drops its Qliphoth Counter, and a facility that reads them survives Day 30 while one that guesses does not reach Day 20.
- Check our tier list for how equipment rankings affect overall build effectiveness.
